If you miss CL this year that's 4 out of the last 6 years (I think). When it gets to that stage it's hard to sign top quality players and if you do get some you end up paying huge wages for them to offset the lack of CL. We've been there and I don't want to be back there ever again.

Say United and Liverpool we're in for Dybala next season and the only difference is Liverpool are in CL and United are in EL I'd say he'd be more likely to sign for us.

I agree but that might not be a bad thing. Pogba , Sanchez and Di Maria are the three shiny superstars Woodward has bought thus far and look how they worked out. United has a warped transfer policy that’s hard to make sense of and certainly doesn’t look like any long term project/plan. Watching Liverpool use their resources so well really hurts, is it all Klopp or a joined up club wide strategy between all departments? When Rogers nearly won the league it’s hard to not feel like Liverpool is just a much better run club then United.

How do we go about getting Gomez minutes or resting any of the front 3 its really difficult to get anyone up to speed or anyome a rest when u have to win every game ,
Im guessing Fab starts away to Saints but with who ?

The whole squad has had close to 2 weeks off, twice this season. Salah just had another nice break. I don't get the need to rest anyone.

The days of resting are over. 7 or 8 weeks at full throttle now. Van Dijk had an ice pack on after the game - hope it’s just a knock and not a twist.

Yeah. No more resting. All the management up til now was to have players at their best for the run in. This is the run in. If you lose someone now it’s just bad luck.

Utd can't afford to drop points vs City. Spurs can't afford to either.
What is going on just below us is to our advantage.

We have to do our own business.

My prediction is Utd and Spurs will make the top 4.

PS I thought today was a geat game.

I still expect the same midfield of Doom 3 to start against Chelsea.

I thought they did well today and the substitutions were well timed. (That said, I was screaming for shaq before the winner!)

A few posters were saying that the benefits of the warm weather training they did in January will be seen in April, lets hope thats true

Games are now thick and fast, a game every few days, no time to blink.

    Southampton in 5 days
    Port 4 days later
    Chelsea 5 days later
    Port 3 days later
    Cardiff 4 days later
    Huddersfield 5 days later

And if we get past Porto it only gets worse. This is where our
multiple holidays pay off I hope!

On paper Arsenal have a far easier run , United have Wolves away and City and Chelsea at home 3 tuff games

I'd give him minutes at right back to ease him back in and take the pressure off Trent who's had some issues of his own lately.

Gotta start fab every league game from here on in now. Can't believe klopp waited till it was one all till he brought him on. We were badly over run in midfield from the first half onwards, it was crying out for an extra body in the middle.
Spurs will be thinking how did they lose that, and we're left thinking how did we win it?
Haunted! But I'll take that every day of the week.

We're doing now what fergie's teams used to do in the nineties ..all those heart break last minute winners when it's looks like all is lost...

    Long may it continue!!

Spurs missed a sitter at 1-1 and should of won the game with the counters and Allison(overrated-hyped) should of came out for that one on one easy chance maybe he had too much time and space to think about it thats being kind with excuse but Pool were blessed Spurs absoluted gifted them it the with the OG last min, but anfield crowd sucked it in.
City have game in hand still think City will it unless ladyluck evens itself out with Stevie G slipp years ago and karma and Pool will get abit of luck to win wudnt rule it out but just like if City get injuries or just focus on champs lge more and they slip up but I dont think they will and Iv callled every league right from xmas onwards since 2009 so Im usuallly right sorry 'Red Men' calm down lads but best a luck anyway.

It was never a sitter , it was a 2v1 and sissoko was made to fcuk up by Virgil

To all the salty tears from City, Spurs, United, etc
Better luck next time guys :)
We back on top and we got another lucky win. Who cares . I don’t as long as we kept winning.
The next 6 games will have lots of twists and turns. I’m not sure my heart can’t take it.

    YNWA LETS BELIEVE :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,429 ✭✭✭.G.

He had an ice pack strapped on his ankle during a post match interview so he has a knock. Doubt anyone will know how serious or not it is until tomorrow

Does anyone know the exact comments Warnock made ?
I ask because Blackpool where fined for feilding a weakend team in the Prem if Warnocok has said what some are making out surely the same can happen to Cardiff

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,022 ✭✭✭✭Iused2likebusts

VVD twisted his ankle for that Sissoko chance near the end would say he will be grand. That was such a big win today.

I prefer to think of his comments as a double-bluff to Pep, whereby he feigns resignation to failure in the lead up to the game, only to then unleash his finest 11 gladiators onto the unsuspecting Spaniard in a coup worthy of Napolean Bonaparte. But I can be blindingly optimistic like that.

Sissoko stood on VVD's ankle when he missed.

Bobby playing well this past few weeks. Think this will be the last big game Milner, Gini and Henderson start together.

Origi did well to win the corner.

He really has impressed when he has been used as a late sub.

We could do a lot worse than keeping him and giving him a new contract if he wants to stay.

People keep saying this but I don't really see it tbh.
