    I should probably get someone to explain the strategy around playing or passing

    Also what happens if I now think I know the remaining first clue, have I lost my shot?

    You have now.

    You get guesses equal to the number sKeith clues you +1 guess.

    So in that case, you could have made 1 more guess, having already guessed correctly twice (sK having providing you with Thermostat 2).

    Some people play a game where they keep ones they know to keep the board open (so you know you have WORD in the bank, but dont guess it to leave as many words open to me to make a mistake). Personally, if i have a word in the bank and have the guesses, i guess.

    Correct. You can only keep guessing if you get guesses right, up to a max of +1 guesses on whatever your captain gave you.
