Yep I've seen that on most policies

Has anyone got the s10 Plus on Three Prepay? Just wondering if it is locked to the Three network, don't really want that annoying 3 Logo on the boot screen! :(

    Thanks in advance!!

If its locked to a network or not doesn't effect that. The question to ask is does it come with threes own firmware.

You can flash it easily enough if it does.

I mentioned it before on here, they are all unlocked dual sim models no matter where you buy them from. No branding on them.

Got cover my s10 with Blue insurance and only noticing this now.

Think I ll put it back in its box for 2 weeks ha ha

"This policy does not cover any claim made, or any event causing the need for a claim to be made, that occurs within the first 14 days of the start date of the policy or the first 14 days of any amendment to your policy where the electronic gadget has not been insured within 14 days of purchase. This also applies if you add loss cover after inception of the policy."

That's pretty normal if you don't insure it as soon as you buy it. I always insure items straight away, so it's immediate cover. I guess it's just a deterrent to insurance fraud.

I'm assuming you've owned the phone for less than 2 weeks, so you should be covered straight away.

I asked three and vodafone this during the pre sale and they all said they were single sim versions and they wouldn't be selling dual sim versions.

Virgin Media told me the same but I received a dual-sim one.

    That's interesting!

Is it a case that physically they are dual SIM, but that the option has been removed from the front end for the Telcos?

Or is dual sim just fully available?

Has anyone actually tried two Sims and can confirm both are working?
And what operator is the phone from?

Is it easy or cheap to unlock the S10? I'm thinking of buying the phone outright, Vodafone seem to have the best price in Ireland €850 on pay as you go.

I have had/come across them from Three, Vodafone , Virgin and Eir, they are all unlocked dual sim.

Interesting observation about SD 855 vs Exynos.
Exynos : 4-5 hours screen on time
    Vs
    SD855: +7 hours !!

Dunno about that. I rarely charge my phone to full and drain it completely as it's bad for the battery but generally I get over 3 hours SOT on a 40-50% charge.

Not sure the Whitestone Dome protector is gonna be long on this phone.
Looks fine, went on well etc, but there's a huge sensitivity impact to the fingerprint reader IMO, despite the claims of it supporting it just fine etc.
Re-registered, switch on touch sensitivity etc, but easily having twice the number of misreads even using extra pressure which seemed to be required in order to take an acceptable reading.
    Shame.

Why did you bother? It came with a screen protector, factory installed, that works perfectly with the fingerprint sensor. Granted its probably not as versatile as the top end ones you can buy.

How much did you spend on that then?
By all accounts a simple plastic one is all you should use so not to affect the fingerprint reader? Apart from the factory fitted one that is.

TBH....the factory preinstalled ones are grand and all, but already showing some wear along the edge, plus my own one was slightly offset (not bad or anything, just marginally).
The whole point of the Whitestone one was that it's sold as being reader compatible, and being used to them on previous phones, I know how good they are in comparison to other protectors.
To be fair, it looks next to perfect on it, as installation went pretty smooth, and is of a far better fit than what was on it before. Screen looks fine, smooth operation etc, but after a week, there's little sign of an improvement with the sensor's functionality.
Requires far more pressure to get a reading, which is quite telling because even in a lot of the videos on YouTube where people are saying how great it is, you can clearly see they're almost digging into the phone screen. :pac: It's almost as if they're 'incentived' to be complimentary.
It should require no more than the feather touch, especially with a new set of scans etc, but it's just far too flaky in comparison in my particular case.
Reading online, on the face of it, half of users appear to have no problem, telling the other half they need to to moisturize their fingers. :pac:

Most reviews are better, and they are free, plus I am not some wanker audiophile, so I am sure they'll do just fine for me.

I've ordered an S10+ so I'm now looking for recommendations for a cover. I've been using a Spigen Neo Hybrid on my S7 edge since 2016 and I like it. It's only downfall was because I have a Brodit phone cradle and had to take the phone out of the cover to use the cradle, eventually some weak points and cracks would appear on the surround. That is the style I like though as it is slim but still offers decent protection. Any recommendations?

    I picked up this one:https://www.mobilefun.co.uk/official-samsung-galaxy-s10-plus-silicone-cover-case-black-70667

Use it daily, it’s slim and has already saved the phone on a couple of occasions.

Have this one for more rough activities like hiking etc: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07MJTVF2L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It has a little stand on the back of it so handy for watching movies etc if traveling.

I went from S8+ to S10+ but no real difference for me, I just needed a new phone.

The in-screen fingerprint scanner is nice and accurate.
You can remove the navigation buttons altogether and use swipes from the bottom which give you more screen real estate
The punch hole camera is pointless. It makes the notification bar larger and the second camera is a gimmick, it literally gives you a longer reach of around 6 inches for a selfie so therefore wastes screen space. I'd have been happier with a notch like the P30 Pro
