Kast 10-40w oil for diesel engine?

Hi..have a 5litre pack of kast semi syn 10-40w oil.. It doesnt say if it is for petrol or diesel, just says for a wide range of cars and light commercials... Just want to check if it can go in a diesel van?? Anyone know??

Read your van user manual. There is several oil specs and classifications what your engine are designed for. If possible use always the same brand oli. Different brands can have a different additives and nobody does not know what could be the end of the result. Especially older cars have a load of built up sludge and you do not want to add more or solve the old one. Change regullary and stick to the same brand.
