Ran into the same press-start issue recently, very bad customer service from them. Had used them many times before hassle free but will be trying to avoid from here on in.

Playing the witness, I've no idea what I'm at and some of the concepts for the solutions mean nothing to me at all. I don't even know of there's a story I'm just assuming there is one somewhere.

Still though, I'll dip in and out from time to time.

I got to a part where you have to touch black dots and white dots and then I hated myself and I quit. People have too much faith in these indie darlings. It's a slight case of Emperor's new clothes.

Went to renew with that offer today only to find this nonsense. My subscription expires the week after this offer ends so it's a lose-lose situation. Pretty annoyed with it.

Thanks for the heads up, amazingly my subscription ran out yesterday.

Edit: I don't like the way they turn back on automatic renewal after resubscribing.

I nearly picked up Conan last week, thankfully I didn't. I'll give it a spin, looks like an alright hack n slash. The Surge I've avoided as it's supposedly futuristic Souls-like, but I'll give it a go. Reviews don't indicate it's as hard/frustrating as the Souls series, so might stick with it.

Not a great month, but at least I don't have both games again!

On a side note, is there a proper genre name for the die/repeat games, I hate referencing the Souls series when talking about games of this difficulty.

Edit: I thought Exiles was a hack n slash, and while it does appear to be similar, it seems to be more a survival game. Interesting...

Enjoyed the Surge demo, but not enough t opurchase it.

Have considered picking up Conan a few times, but one look at my backlog dissuaded me. SO also good.

I've seen a few Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice previews / reviews refer to the genre as Soulsbourne, so moving on from Soulslike or Souls clone. Soulsclone?

But, yeah, we no longer call FPSes Doom clones, so a neutral genre name may be needed. Action RPG+ ?
