2012 Seat Ibiza - boot won't open

As title says, flip up the 'S' on the boot but nothing budges, just hear a clicking noise. Anyone experience something similar before/have a fix? Thanks

We had the same issue with a rental car in Spain a few years back, you had to lock it twice and unlock it 3 times on the key fob or something like that to open it, was very frustrating.
