Which car - VW Sharan or Ford Galaxy

    Which car? And Why?

    152 VW Sharan 55k miles €18k
    or
    161 Ford Galaxy 25k miles €21k

    Both imports, full service history etc...

    Sharan for me. classier image, sliding doors

    SEAT Alhambra same thing so you might get a newer one for similar money?

    The galaxy is a new model since 2015 but looks older.

    Sorry I meant is it the older interior or the newer with the touch screen?

    No, the Sharan did not have the touch screen.

    The SMAX then will have a better console so I would go with that......


    I guess neither have leather seats in them or anything like that?

    I think the S-MAX would be regarded as 5+2?
    Would the Sharan, Galaxy and Alhambra have bigger seats in the rear than the S-MAX.

    I'm trading up from a Peugot 5008.

    The SMAX is bigger than the 5008. A little bit but it is bigger for seat space which you and kids will notice in boot. It is also more like a car to drive.



    The Sharan/Galaxy etc are bigger. So I had SMAX and moved up to the Galaxy. The Galaxy is like driving a bloody transit van with seats but it is huge. I got 7 adults sitting in it and they where comfortable. You will have the same in Sharan


    Now the Sharan is a little bit better of a drive to the Galaxy but it is still like a large van to drive.



    Depends on your childrens ages really which you should go for. At the moment I would swap for a Sharan to get a nicer drive to the Galaxy but really I would swap back down to SMAX if I could get a good one because it was a great drive compared to larger ones

    What about a 141 Seat Alhambra, 103k miles, 14k.

    btw, all prices quoted are with trade in.

    Well that makes a huge difference.....what sort of money are they giving for the trade in....I was wondering why the Sharan was so cheap

    That's about right....I have a 141 Galaxy and I am looking for about 17k from garage as a trade in,......only 63k miles on mine so mileage a little bit high but the Alhambra seems to be a bit higer cost according to garages

    I test drove a newish sharan and Alhambra recently, could have been my imagination, but felt the seat was a better drive and drove more agile then the vw.

    Did you get anywhere offering you 17 k ?

    I had a 132 Galaxy 2 little auto last year and was not getting offered anywhere near that and my car was immaculate .
