    Yeah, there was a time long, long ago when you could get a good deal on a contract [subsidised] phone on a 12 month contract. Now instead mobile operators are making money on the extended 1.5-2 year financing of these phones.

    Now I just buy my phones SIM free for a better deal.

    So I pre-ordered the ceramic 512gb s10+ from Samsung on Feb 25th. I messaged Samsung on March 1st to see if things were still on track for a March 8th delivery. I was told as I ordered on Feb 25th I wouldn't be affected by any delays.

    Double checked with them just now and it has changed to March 28th.

    Not one bit happy as you can see from my username!

    Had I known this I would have tried to buy elsewhere.

    Are they bumping people down the list or what is going on?

    I can't see how they had x amount of the phones in stock when I pre-ordered on Feb 25th and March 8th delivery was promised, to being bumped back to March 28th delivery

    They have started shipping in the US. You have a model that isn't likely that high in production volume so hopefully they aren't trying to fulfil places like the US first.

    Edit: I don't remember what the text was when I ordered but the site now says "Pre-Order Now - Shipping March 8th."

    If it is shipping March 8th, it's not going to arrive March 8th!

    The girl I was speaking to got mixed up, she thought I ordered a 128gb model.
    512gb is unaffected and I will have it Friday she says.

    So i'm assuming postage today or tomorrow to have it by Friday.

    I emailed Samsung Ireland earlier when l saw unhappys10's post. I ordered the S10+ 128gb black on launch day February 20th.

    I got an email back saying my order will be delivered to me on Friday.

    I'd say if you had left it any later you could have been bumped. Hopefully we get our hands on them Friday, getting mine delivered to work!

    Anyone know the full T&C's of the trade in offer?

    I have a galaxy S8+ but I have replaced the back panel on it myself and don't know if this is an issue

    I believe that voids the warranty so I don't think you can trade it in, depends if it's noticeable?

    They have to be in pretty much perfect condition apart from "natural wear and tear"

    I'm leaving Vodafone billpay to go with Eir prepay! Once the reception is good i'm happy, if not it's only a simcard!

    Prepay is probably fine (depending on coverage) as you won't ever have to deal with their customer "service"

    I left vodafone today and went three. Hope I made the right decision! Using a vodafone smart ultra 7 that keeps turning off so hopefully they will be quick at getting the preorders out!

    After trying to order the S10 online through Vodafone I went into a local store, on the advice of VOdafone who said their systems are down, and after queuing for ages I finally got to order it. They think I will still qualify for the Samsung wireless buds, but are not sure, and they think I should get my handset on this Friday - which I was not expecting!
    The guy in the Vodafone store said the problem with trying to order the S10 on line was not Vodafones fault, it was Samsumg not having enough stock to meet the demand!

    So I’m with Virgin on a 30 day contract. I have the option of just buying the phone and not sign a new contract, allowing me to pay off the phone as I wish.

    I’m still on the fence about buying the s10 or the s10+. A few reports today question the internals of the phone.

    I’ll still be able to get one and the EarPods tomorrow. Anyone having doubts?

    Wifi calling on the Eir network solves a lot of coverage problems.
    I had poor coverage in the office where I live but wifi calling solved all that.

    I,m not sure if Vodafone support Wifi calling.

    No doubts. No tech product is 100 percent and tech sites feed off bad reviews to get traffic. I've had Samsung phones since s6. Never a complaint. Just go for it if you can afford too.

    Edit: I use a bunch of phones for work so I have plenty of chances to make comparisons.

    Pre-ordered the 1TB 12GB Ceramic Black on the 24th Feb from Samsung. A lot of moolah but I couldn't resist.

    Been saving for months. Still at the processing stage on their website. Really hoping it arrives on Friday. At the time of booking it said that delivery was expected on the 8th. Have the day booked off for it and everything.

    Samsung Ireland have changed the shipping dates on their site from earlier today. Pre orders are still showing up as shipping on the 8th of March

    No update on the status this afternoon so I emailed Ireland.SamsungSupport@exertis.com.
    Got a reply just now (they're working late) and confirmed I'd have the phone on Friday.
