Waffle Day...?? Never heard of that one.... Explain please.......and thanks.

It's a little like Pancake Tuesday except instead of having pancakes you have waffles.

Can you make waffle batter the night before, like with pancakes?

Never done it, usually just knock 'em up but can't see any reason why not.
Sometimes I chuck a bit of vanilla extract in as well just for variety.

Waffle Day has been a success! I had caramel sauce, whipped chocolate ganache and crushed salted peanuts with mine. My husband had banana and maple syrup.

Happy Waffle Day! I had waffles with chocolate sauce, salted caramel sauce and toasted flaked almonds for breakfast. It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Well except use FAGE Fat Free Yogurt for the Waffles, makes them much more fluffier!

I wonder if ordinary pancake recipe would work in a waffle-maker?
I got a machine for fifteen quid in Aldi or Lidl ( - forget which!) a few weeks ago.
Tried the recipe in the booklet that came with it and very nice too.

Tomorrow is pancake Tuesday, highlight! Might try my usual pancake recipes in the machine tomorrow!

Can't believe there is only 20 days in between pancake day and waffle day this year! What a month!
