I see some very inflammatory comments by Bales agent today, I doubt they will endear him to the Madrid fans.

While I wouldn't like to spend $100m+ on a soon to be 30 year old, I do hope as well that we aren't sitting here in the summer watching him go to Juve or Bayern for some cut price fee and wondering how they can get bargains like that.

I think we have enough injury prone players on big wages at the wrong end of their careers. Not sure he is physically ready for the PL anymore if he cant handle a La Liga season.

Ah you're almost glad he picked up an injury?

Doesn't matter what his form is like wouldn't wish him injured

Don’t overreact, it’s not like I’m happy he’s broke his leg. It’s a minor injury he’ll recover from that caused him very little pain.

Yeah but I think bangkok's point was that he said earlier in the season "People will be surprised with Dalot" and the reaction to that post was...loud.

Shove your genuine answer Jayo ya swot :D

Meh who cares if that's still gonna continue it shows more about others.

Most fans agree that RW is an area of the pitch that Utd have poor options for. Can’t help but think that Zaha could be worth a second chance.Has superb close ball control,is a 10 goal a season man in a mid table side,is physically imposing and is 26 years of age now....coming into his best years.

People will probably say that he was a flop in his first spell at Utd but bear in mind he was a young immature player who picked up a few niggling injuries while there who had the pressure of a huge fee on his head.
Were he to return Utd would be getting a hardened Premier League performer used to getting kicked around the place as the main Star for Palace.

As compared to signing a player from abroad who would have to settle in which could take time ala Fred this season.

    he would probably cost 80-90m

i can see united going for Sancho this summer for same price

Like Memphis, while he has quality it is hard to look past the disaster he had at United. It is one thing to buy back players who left too soon but bringing back players who struggled at the club is a big risk.

United need people with strength to cope and as the teams form improved under Ole the importance of the positive mental side.

I don't think he would want to return.

Hopefully Chong gets a run now and does a Rashford on it. RW solved and 80-90m extra in the kitty to try and find a partner for Lindelöf

We don't need a right winger, there's no such thing in modern football, the days of a Giggs or Beckham running down to the byline and whipping in crosses are done and dusted.

Can people please stop focusing on it. Your full backs now provide width on the pitch and the wide players in the front three move inside to let them get up the line.

Please move with the modem game folks and stop crying out for a player in a position which doesn't exist.

Crikey it didn't exist when we'd Ronaldo in the team so lets just move along. When Fergie had Ronaldo in the team he was able to move about as are all modem wider forward players. A RW reappeared with Valencia but even as Fergie ended Valencia wasn't playing as a right winger.

The right/left winger is dead and buried, move on, nothing to see here anymore

Hes switched to the left the last 2 seasons and seems to be better for it. He only signed a new contract in the summer so Palace would be looking for huge money.. not so sure he would be worth the outlay, think he is better at being the big fish in a small pond myself, didnt he also say that he got homesick during his first stint and missed London

Ah come on Brinty. Beckham was really a third CM a lot of the time.

United need another forward who can play from wide and winger is an easy way to describe it. I would say wide forward but it is clear enough that people are talking about a forward rather than older style winger.

Actually, speaking of RW, I'm stealing this post from Reddit.
Out of interest I checked out the journalist who wrote the big exclusive on United being prepared to pay £100m+ for Sancho. The journalist, Adrian Kajumba, has good ties to Sancho and his representatives and has had for some time. He's gotten multiple interviews with him whilst in Germany (an example from a year ago, there's been more since then), was the first to report Dortmund's initial interest in Jadon and then the first to report of an agreement for him to move to Germany. A quick check of his twitter and a consequent search of him reporting frequently on Sancho would lead one to the conclusion that this is actually a rather serious report, and source, on a massive transfer story.

It's easy to brush this story aside as usual Daily Mirror guff, but I think it's far from that. I'd expect rumours of Sancho to United to get more and more intense as the summer draws nearer, it makes perfect sense and hopefully it comes off.

    It would be mouth watering

This summer's transfer window will be very intriguing.

Always is I guess but from our point of view this is a crucial one after **** ups last summer

Sancho and Kodibaly would be a great start. Someone like Kante too

Would love to get Matuidi from Juve for DM. In the ideal world. Think he would suit our style to a tee

Kante could be even better in his old position after a year of playing in a more advanced role.

Him Ndombele, Koubaily and Sancho and I'd be happy like over the moon happy.

Happy enough to keep Lukaku happy

I have not seen much of Sancho so my opinion can be disregarded, but 100m for a teenager seems a massive risk.

Every transfer is a risk.. it will be inflated to English clubs too as he is English and has a long contract.. hes a very good player. I'd expect England to build around the front three of rashford kane sancho

Does Ole have the pull to get the big ones in? I'm hoping money and club resurgence are enough.

Why wouldn't he as far as names go he is a former iconic player if toni Kroos was going to sign for David moyes I'm sure we could easily attract players under ole.

United won't be buying three huge price players.

I can see them bringing in around 3 or 4 players alright but in a more balanced way. Big contract offer required for De Gea will be a big hit to finances.

Koulibaly in particular is impossible at 28. Could only happen if United received silly money for someone and have money to 'burn'.

I really want a focused transfer window. They need to operate a more sustainable transfer plan. More Dalot and Lindelofs than Di Maria or Sanchez.

If we go back to last summer Lenglet and Correa from Sevilla would have been perfect for Uniteds needs and cost less than Koulibaly would. I know Lenglet went to Barca amongst the spanish buy out rules so would not have been looking to United.

Pavard is off to Bayern for less than 40million. Would solve a position for 10 years(+). Cancelo to Juve 40million.

Skriniar cost about 25 for Inter. Bentancur was about 10 for Juve as they saw a chance when moving on Tevez to secure his rights..

I rememeber talk that United had a 50% selling on fee agreement with Palace with the Zaha deal so a fee of £70m would cost United half that.

Cant find the original evening standard article but Parish is quoted here saying there is an agreement in place, albeit doesn't give exact details.

Zaha plays on the left. Honestly don’t need any more left sided attackers. Shunting him to the right will only hinder his performances and it’ll be a repeat of his early career stint.

A greener don't need another player that is left sides or central but.can play right we need a proper right sided player.

I'm just not that keen on him tbh. He'll be 28 in June and though he's a very good defender, he's poor on the ball and the money required to get him could be a world record fee for a defender. Is he worth it?

I would prefer to look at Inter's Skriniar or Ac Milan's Romagnoli

If we’re going to spend Pogba money on a defender id rather Harry Maguire. Great in the air and proven in the league. Yeah he’s over priced but I don’t think Koulibaly is a smart move.

Prepare to be lambasted for that but I actually agree re: Maguire. I think he fits the profile of a United signing. He'd be a no brainer really if the price wasn't so astronomical which is largely the issue I think most have with him.

Alderweireld is a no-brainer for me, proven top quality and is actually available, supposedly. Need one CM but most likely two depending on the system the next manager decides he wants to play, unless Fred miraculously becomes the player we thought we bought.

Those are the main needs for me with a right-sided attacker or full back only coming after those needs are filled.
