yeah just looked, last song it found was on christmas morning (and i play songs on my speaker all day). Just disabled and re-enabled so hopefully that fixes it.

Had music playing all morning, reset the phone, turned now playing on and off. Nothing. Seems to be broken.

Edit: just fixed it. Go to battery optimisation and disable optimisation for pixel ambient services. Works then. Wondering if it will take more battery though

Received my pixel3 via Google UK store thru parcel motel with current deal. Due to get extra store credit too.

€713 from UK store plus parcel motel fee = about €725 incl upgraded insurance
Expect Gbp 75 store credit soon too which will prob buy the pixel stand

€799 on IE store

Love the phone.

Hows battery life folks? Currently on Pixel 1 and need an upgrade
looking for the 5in model Pixel 3 with not a massively bigger battery has me worried!

Honestly, I usually get around 3:30 4hrs SOT and it takes off charge at around 11am (because chrismtas) and onto charge at 2am (again christmas :P ). So average on my 3xl at least? I've heard reports that the 3 actually seems to get better battery

I'm getting about 5½ hours screen time over about 16 hours in the day before putting it back on charge at around 25% overnight (3XL).

Yea the XL seems to have a much larger battery than the 5in, cant face getting a larger screen just for better battery!

Does anyone know if you can pick up a fabric case anywhere in person in Dublin? I've the black 3 XL and am considering the fabric case, but am not sure if I'd go for Black or Indigo.

I went and broke the screen on my 3 XL over the weekend. Gutted and it's the first time I've ever broke a phone screen. Has anyone had one repaired and know how much it costs or even if there are people here doing screen replacements?

There's a shop on baggot st in Dublin called express tech that fix pixel 1 and 2. It could be worth giving them a shout to see if they do the 3s as well.

I've a 3XL and still getting to grips with it. The contacts list displays every contact I've ever emailed and is a pain to navigate. There used to be an easy "display contacts with phone number only" but I can't seem to find this option anywhere.

Has it been removed?

Just asked work to order me the Pixel 3, will hopefully have it next week. Anything I should read up on before it's arrival- tips, tricks etc. Is the stand worth getting? I have Nest cameras but not the doorbell, I'll probably get that at some point in the near future.

I bought an Ottorbox case from the US Amazon and it took a while to get here, so if you want something a bit better than the standard clear case available over here, I'd order it now as it took about 11 days to arrive.

649 from VF would be the cheapest. They come unlocked.

799 USD there for base Pixel 3. Vodafone is still about 60e cheaper without factoring in customs etc. If you want one cheap VF is the best and cheapest option.

You could wait another few weeks to see if it drops further with release of S10 and P30.

I'd be stunned if they'd started locking them. The person you talked to probably didn't realise that it's a pixel and they're usually untouched.

If you're unsure, order it online, and you have the distance selling 14 day return thing.

Got my Pixel 3 yesterday, upgrading from the Pixel 2. Gorgeous phone, very light and the display is amazingly crisp. I have an iPhone X too and the difference is huge.

Slightly off topic but when you RMA'd did you return your old phone with UPS? Did they collect or did you drop it to a depot? Having a bit of an issue returning old one as no UPS depot around here.

Coming from a Pixel 2 XL and not sure to wait for S10 or go for Pixel 3, don't like the look of Pixel 3 XL so was going to downsize to normal Pixel 3
