In the very unlikely event the Cork County Board go for a drastic overhaul of the pitch and it’s closed for a month, will Pairc ui Rinn be an alternative for the big Munster championship games? Or could Cork be potentially looking at a situation similar to Waterford last year, playing all games away?

no. I said it a bit tongue in cheek earlier but if we have to play our games in Thurles I don't think too many will be upset

Majority of Cork fans prefer going to Thurles, way more of an occasion than going down the Páirc.

Listening to the Examiners podcast this week they mentioned that there was less than 7000 people in attendance last Sunday. Is that a big enough crowd for them to turn a profit at Pairc UI Chaoimh?

Ya being stuck for the guts of 4 hrs in a car, having pay to park in a field, poor terrace views is great to look forward to.

Not by a long shot . The projected monthly repayments could be as high as €600,000 over 30 years.

You will get no attendance when the price of tickets are so high. They have to cut that first to make anything worthwhile for them.

I think it's gotten to the point, for the footballers anyway, that would you go in for free to see them playing division 2 football? Maybe if you had kids, but if you were on your own would you go in? Probably not.

Watching the Cork footballers has been painful for a few years now.

He was an average player when he arrived 6 years ago and had not got better....runs around a lot and that impresses a poor management like ours

Not surprised at the football result at all. These days I assume they will lose miserably. They have to make me believe again as I gave up.

Fitzgibbon has been outstanding in the first half for Charleville
