Microsoft Teams, Slack or Trello would be more business oriented apps...

    Isn't Slack a solid fortune?

Email could be an option, but the industry I work in, most of the clients wouldn't be email savvy, WhatsApp is just about palatable to some.

Sounds like they are the reason we are having the functionality reduced... They are looking for professional level services in a consumer level app.

Like I said, there's plenty of business focussed apps available. Not difficult to use.

Depends on how you look at it... Does your business make money? Do you need particular tools in order to make that business function?

Is there an adblock browser that exists that also allows sync to chrome across devices? I normally don't mind seeing ads but boards won't work on my tablet on chrome and it's the massive banner ads they use on the front page that's stopping it loading.

Google doesn't allow 3rd party browsers to use sync.

That's what I was thinking would probably be the case. I'd rather have the sync than the adblocking so I'll just use the touch site on the tablet instead. Thanks.

Complete network wide adblock on all devices including in app and crApple devices is very easy to do with a raspberry pi kit and Pihole

Block ads at home using Pi-hole and a Raspberry Pi - Raspberry Pi

The only raspberry pi I'd know what to do with is an edible one :D

You can buy them with an operating system pre installed on the SD card, then it's only a single line command to install Pihole on it. It's a piece of cake :D

I'm using HTC Boost+ at the moment to add fingerprint access to some apps (such as banking etc).

Switching phones, so should I keep using it, or is there a better alternative?

I have never heard of it up to now so did a search and it gets slated here as doing nothing but eating ram...

They are talking about the ram killing part of the app... I'm looking for an app to finger print lock certain other apps...

I switched from a HTC to a Huawei recently. Huawei has an App Lock which does the same thing.

If you don't know how to root your tablet, there are apps that allow you to block ads. They won't run side by side with a VPN, as most use a VPN to function and your device will only be able to handle one VPN at a time. If you don't use a VPN you are good to go.

    https://adlock.com/apk/
    https://adguard.com

There are others available, but any of those should be good enough.

Thanks. I would rather not use a VPN as I've always found them horribly slow and I use the tablet too often to risk rooting it (not even sure a Pixel C can be rooted). I did see this morning that subscribing here can get rid of the banner ads anyway and seeing as this is the only site giving issues due to ads, so that might be my best route to go down.

46 temporarily free and 52 on-sale apps and games for Monday, including some Forever Entertainment titles

23 best new Android games released this last week including Beat Cop, Alien: Blackout, and Angry Birds Dream Blast

A much anticipated and over hyped streaming app, got a public beta release last night. (4 to 6 months since development was announce or started).

Killed the developers website with demand on launch for an hour. And because it uses server sided scrapping the servers can not handle the traffic today. No sources loading.

^^^ No PM's please, go to reddit subs (/youtube bloggers) for this kind of app.

26 temporarily free and 27 on-sale apps and games to finish January

And a followup on the unmentionable beta app from previous post, what I have seen of it looks good. But the devs are still Ironing out bugs in the server side of it. It has been offline for last two days.

Any hint as to the name of this app?

If it is the 'spacecraft' app, I think it missed the bulk of its main market. Few want to donate to it at this stage, a lot of bugs/stuff not working and a ton of alternatives.
I think that's the one he is referring to. That or the one that 'rose from the ashes', That has few bugs, and is decent. But hasn't been offline, so I doubt it's that.

Could anyone recommend any alternatives to Mediamonkey or Musicbee that they like, on Android?
Foobar any use? - I have used it on windows, but not with Android client.

No Secrecy, these apps are frowned upon on boards and not allowed to be linked etc. I'm probably threading on thin ice discussing it.

But as it is recent launched app, some people in the known, might be wondering about it and wondering why it is not functioning etc.

There is an update due by tomorrow evening, due to a change in api, to hopefully resolve problems.

I'm a sucker for a good Match 3 game, but good ones are hard to find.
They either get too hard (requiring you to use boosts) or they get samey and don't mix it up enough.

I think Raspberry Jam is one of the best I've played in a while. I'm up to level 160 and I'm still playing. It has the usual IAPs but you can ignore them all.
It has a nice multiplier mechanic that makes it very strategic.
There is also good incentive to 3 star all levels (which I have done on every level so far).
Worth a look if you like these kinds of games.

If anyone sees a proper official Lemmings game and gets excited, don't. It's absolute toss.

Must have missed it, only seen it yesterday. Awful the way it's done with the grid regardless of the IAP's. Even worse than Mario Run.
