The fan hub that comes with the 570x is only for the RGB lights, fan speed still controlled by the Mobo. Fans have two connectors, one for pwm control and the other for the lights.

well you don't know if a specific Freesync monitor will be of any use yet for that as there hasn't been enough testing and reporting on individual monitors

that PG278QR is at its lowest price point for a year, it is a TN model so colour accuracy will be less than an IPS, viewing angles also not great but who looks at their monitor from the sides or above or below

g2g latency on the PG278QR is one of the best with it being TN, the nearest equivalent would be the Dell 27" Gsync at around £430, the prices go up from there for IPS equivalents with higher latency

yeah that's what I was looking at, but the point I am trying to make is; if you select a Freesync monitor with an NVIDIA card, then I would be researching that specific monitor in detail to see how compatible it is with gsync and if there are any dealbreakers

there are plenty of yes it works on the google docs link highlighted in yellow with caveats, whether these will upset the potential owner of Freesync monitor is up to the individual

to reiterate, it seems to me that plenty of Freesync monitors work fine perfectly; but some also still have niggling issues that would annoy the hell out of somebody

ie. turn on and off monitor if flickering starts, ghosting issues where you change screen mode to fix, random screen flickers, brightness issues

I know I would want to be sure what I am getting myself into and not have to be doing workarounds, I just want it to work
