What can I cook my Turkey in apart from Aluminium?

    The glass bowel we have is too small for a turkey.

    You could get a roasting bag and stick it in that. Then place the bag on a tray.

    Alternatively, you could spatchcock your turkey and roast it on a tray.

    Don’t know what you have got so it’s hard to advise.

    Possibly more work than you intend but you could take the legs off, bone, stuff and roll them. Then take the back off the turkey to leave a manageable, compact crown.

    I like to roast the legs and poach, then brown the crown in butter in a pan.

    Roast all the bones and make stock.
    This also gives you lovely roasty sediment for gravy.

    Admittedly, it is quite a bit of work but it makes for really tasty legs with no waste and deliciously moist breast that carves beautifully.

    I just open-roast it on a roasting tin, with nothing on top at all except butter and a few rashers.
    Baste regularly!

    Makes for best "roasty" flavour - and least washing up!
