      Ended up with 3mm up to midnight here near Tralee and still mist and drizzle with a bit of fog now.

      Very dull dark morning and dull throughout the day which only went downhill when heavy drizzle light rain arrived in the afternoon which has been going more or less all evening.

      Leaving home in the Uplands of North Kildare at 6am this morning, there was an extremely thick radiation type fog outside. Weather station was reading 1.8c and when I got in the car it was reading 2c so they pretty much were in agreement, as is usually the case. After about a minute of driving, I left the valley area and the fog cleared in seconds. The temperature rose by 3c within 30 seconds and it was clear from there on until my arrival in Dublin a while ago.
