Yes, and blue WKD. Jaysus that was foul stuff.

There’s 4 bottles of blue WKD sitting in my fridge since Christmas 2017.

I actually thought they were quite tasty :)

Pure chemical ****e though I’d imagine full of artificial colouring and preservatives and other muck.

Yes, probably the costliest sugary drink you could hope to buy. With a bit of alcohol mixing going on to add to the fun.

You can use it as toilet cleaner if by some fluke it has actually gone off

I’d be murdered. The wife actually likes it, she’s been pregnant for most of last year and breastfeeding since, she plans on drinking them some day :o

Geoff’s in Waterford still sells chartreuse as does Tully’s in Carlow.

Drink Store in Stoneybatter sell Yellow and Green, you can buy online from them too

Jagerbombs became the shot of choice for when you don't want to remember anything of your night out

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,296 ✭✭✭shamrock55

It blew the flecking heads off anyone who drank it that's what happened

what were those shots that came in little plastic shot glasses, that you could stack?

Sidekicks, we used to love the apple ones!

Myself and a mate finished a bottle of red aftershock between us after a good feed of drink beforehand. Never had a hangover like it. I could still taste it 2 days later.

Yee should have nutmeg mixed with yogurt on top of that. Hangover would last a day or two longer.

My aunt was drinking cans of it in pub in Limerick on Thursday night. Some hospital staff young wans were wondering what it taste like.

No loss. That red aftershock is the reason I can’t bare the smell of cinnamon. Christmas time just reminds me of the times I almost died. Grim. I would always puke on the second red shot.

Also remember drinking schooner when buckfast was a luxury. If you drank the schooner with Red Bull it fücked you up worse than drinking it on its own. Amazing what you can discover when you’ve no cash

About 10 years ago After Shock was the shot of choice, not seen it for sale in years, what happened to it, can it ever come back?

After Shock was the business back in the day.

There was nothing like having a few shots of After Shock after you had drank 10 pints.

The problem today is that After Shock is only 30% alcohol were it used to be 40%. You just don't get the same kick from it at only 30%.

Thats probably the reason why noone drinks it anymore.

We went on this fad at college and we'd ask for about four shots of blue after shock and a glass with ice to drink for some reason!

Anyone remember people making “fatfrog”? Smirnoff ice, blue wicked, bacardi orange mixed.

When i did bar work it was all the rage.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,122 ✭✭✭killanena

Its still available in my part of the country in most bars, 5-6 years ago it was popular enough to get shots of it in my age group at the time (18-20) often you get a shot of blue and red in a glass to make purple but I mainly see it as part of cocktails and stuff now.

How many shots approx in a pint?

Buskers had an invite only euro for any drink one night in the late 90s
I was getting six shots in a pint glass with a Shark mixer. Remember that luminous piss?

I had a few of those and was ill for 22 hours at home.

Mental note - if it glows in the dark, don’t drink it .....

Thread title has immediately transported me back to the early 00s when I was in college in Galway.

Puking (and not just ordinary vomit but the toxic looking kind that made you think you might have really diced with death!) in the toliets of The Alley, CPs, Church Lane, The GPO, The Venue etc when after shock binges went wrong.

I can smell it and taste it even now & feel sick.

Self imposed ban on Aftershock & Tequilla since college! Great memories at the same.

    West Kerry Diesel.

Mixing a red n blue after shock gave us green aftershock. Who ever said drinking wasnt educational

You might want to revisit that education.

Red + blue = Purple, not green.

We used to drink some vile concoctions.
Vodka, blue Aftershock, red bull = Antifreeze
Vodka, red Aftershock and Smirnoff Ice = Pink Smurf

Think its was around 9% alcohol, came in a dynamite shaped bottle.
The rock garden used to do specials it.

Used to remember loosing days at a time binging on that stuff followed by shots of after shock.

Ah the memories of the 90s!!!
