It may already have been mentioned here but wasn't Valencia noticeably "rounder" last night !!

I think Jose said it best when he claimed that Valencia had enjoyed a little too much holiday, or words to that effect.

He looks a lot more cuddly to be fair.

I thought he was one of Fulham better players the other day

Think he pinched a few of Shaw's hampers

Fulham want to loan Gary Cahill so to get him they have to let TFM leave. (Or Chambers but they need him in midfield so TFM misses out, Christie can play RB)

I saw him against Watford earlier in the season. Slow in the tackle, very late at times. Seemed way off the pace.

I dont see anything to warrant him getting into our squad.

Pity because he looked decent at times last season on loan

I've watched all of United's games under Ole and one thing springs to mind every time. There comes a moment near the start of each build-up from the back when a player looks like he's going to launch the ball forward but then checks and makes a simple pass to a team-mate.

It's the little things that make all the difference.

Fosu had all but lost his place under Ranieri and while he started the season under Jokanovic was sharing some time with Christie although some of that could have been down to formation issues.

Wasn't impressed anytime I saw him and while he is still young he wouldn't be someone I'd want to rely on even as backup

    Young or Valencia

I'd go with Young. Only just. His positional sense when balls over the top or holding the line is very dodgy though. Crossing is better, more two footed than TVal and is quicker getting the ball in.

    For me its Young.

Wouldnt argue against Dalot if hes unavailable but Valencia looked a liability at times last night. Doesnt look fit, doesnt look comfortable in the position.

Was on Reddit earlier, they have a very funny clip of a number of players telling Lindelof to stop as he is looking up field before he plays long to Rashford for his chance in the first half.

Three or four players telling him to play short so it is obviously a specific instruction from coaches.

Why was he considering long if his instruction was short I wonder.

Like all players around you when you have possesion, they appear to be looking for the ball.

Id say his instructions was to take risks and play forward balls when possible and the players were just looking for a pass as most players would

Young; his brash challenges are strategic not always good but he can time a bad taxkle

I think the players will have been told to play out - that's what it looks like. Previously we had a much higher chance of the defenders playing a percentage ball forward into the channels.

My interpretation is that the players were telling him to calm, that he had time, that he didn't need to bash it clear, rather than not to play the ball forward.

I don't think it's an instruction to not play the type of pass he played, simply that the players should look to pass to a teammate rather than simply into the channel for a chase or 50/50 aerial ball.

Ole really has been a breath of fresh air. Really enjoying watching us under his leadership. Long may it continue

How good has goal line technology been. That incident there in the City v Pool game was unreal how close it was.

I hate aguero. I hate him. But what a player. What an amazing finisher.

Shows how good a player he is, looking at how easy he turned the best defender in the world.

    Still hate him

Of course, sure he said himself that he should be regarded as one of the best in the world.

This could turn out to be 2 great nights of football. Can see an equaliser though :(

Liverpool are almost certain to score at least 1 goal. City will need another one.

It will be very interesting to see if we can maintain our current level of energetic performance against spurs. A good showing against Spurs and it will be cause for genuine optimism for us!

Game could be a win win for us providing its not a draw.

If City win, pool could bottle it.

If pool win, Pep could end up walking at end of season and I wouldn't second guess us catching them.

Could we still appeal Bailly's red?

Kompany tonight and Lascelles last night did identical tackles and only got yellows.

And lascelles was the worst of the lot imo bit of a grey area atm with them kind of tackles
