Looking for mid-sized / smaller android phone

Howdy,

I'm sure this has been asked loads of times but the search function on boards is total ****.

Looking for a mid-sized / smaller android phone for my wife. (ideally around 5-5.5")

Budget max €400 450. (new, not second hand)

She's coming from a 4" iPhone 5 so doesnt want a massive yoke.

Ideally something with waterproofing and fast charging and decent camera.

Though there are probably cheaper options around the 300 mark with Android One on them.

That would be bigger than the OP wants it though. Reasonably bit bigger in the hand than Iph5 too

Just picked up one of these before christmas

I find it is very easy to use single handed as it is quite narrow
great price too for a high end device

so far so good

yes the s8 is probably the best phone to meet the criteria the OP has outlined.

-waterproof
-fast charging
-good camera
- pretty small

it's even cheaper on amazon spain at mo at €389. (better warranty than eglobal!)

Good call actually. very solid phone with great value at that money.

Thanks for the recommendations, I'd say the S8 would be a bit too big, but I'll run it by her all the same.

Whats peoples thoughts on the Galaxy A8 instead? at around €280 it seems to be fairly decent.

so the A8 is taller, wider, thicker and heavier.

the S8 is also a much better phone overall and worth the extra money.

it's not a big phone at all. pretty small actually - especially by today's stds. have you ever seen / held one?
