Switch to Eir When do I pay?

    So currently with Virgin and paying way over the odds. Out of contract v soon though and want to switch to Eir. What confuses me though is : If I place order online, do I need to pay upfront, as in before installation takes place or do I just give details to have Direct Debit take place at agreed point in the future?

    Hi engiweirdo,

    When you sign up with eir you are not charged until your first bill. Unless you are purchasing a new mobile and a deposit is required then this will be deducted from your bank account. However, if you are not doing this then details are just captured in order to set up a direct debit.
