Are the Glaziers even a problem?

Its not like they are starving the club of cash, they have provided plenty to spend in recent seasons.

They are letting Woodward run the football side of things when we badly need a DOF and there is some doubt weather they care about making us a title challenger or just care about us churning out top 4s and champions league football

Lukaku has a terrible first touch, horrendous, terrible movement, he wouldn't get into any of the top 5 teams, we will never have to worry about losing him to top Spanish giants, or any top European side, if he's not good enough for any of those, How in God's name is he good enough for us.

Thats it for me as well, the team isn't setup to get the best out of him currently and he is also playing well below his best but I don't think he will ever be good enough to be the main striker for a team that wants to compete for top honours

Only reason I can think they did not sack Jose is they wanted to get through Champions League group without a new manager having that preasure. Then decided to get through the busy Christmas schedule without a new manager facing so many games.

I reckon Jose stays to new year.

The World cup appears to have compounded the problems caused by Jose's intense environment and overly negative way of playing.

    Some examples would be:

Pogba went away and found a much better atmosphere got to play with a better mix of players sent out to get the best from them as a group. Same for Lukaku.

Martial missed out on a world cup winning squad and probably blames Jose.

Rashford got to play and be part of what appeared to be one of the most focused and positive England squads ever.

Then they come back and guys like Lindelof get their confidence ripped apart by Jose flat out saying they are not good enough, over and over.

It is clearly a toxic place to play football right now.

Its amazing the amount of stick Pogba gets on here and how quickly people in here and some fans in general turned on him, or to put it better, sided with Mourinho instead.

Let me state that by no means do I think Pogba is playing well, undroppable or hasn't made mistakes and he was wrong to be as open to the press about the manager as he was, but he gets called a virus for what? wanting attacking football, is that it? The OT crowd have been singing attack attack on more than one occasion because thats what we all want.

The amount of people that fall for Jose's cult of personality bs and lap up his post match or press comments is embarrassing. This is what he does when he is failing, he starts throwing players under the bus and talking about his past success to protect himself.

Pogbas instagrams posts are a talking point ffs, they were brought up again today even like they have anything to do with matchday performances. Imagine actually thinking thats even a valid criticism or even a point to look at with all thats gone wrong this season.

What in recent history makes anyone think Jose will be sacked while top 4 is still mathematically possible? :(

This exact line has been uttered by so many people ao many times since Fergie retired.

3 failed managerial appointments so far. Appointing the right manager now goes hand in hand with making the right football structural changes at the club.

Personally speaking, I have no confidence that what needs to happen will happen.

The future of this football club is very bleak indeed.

Nah the next one is so obviously the crucial one. That's not dismissing the phrase used previously.

But this next one fails and we are properly finished as a big club, with top players avoiding us and the money drying up.

Talk at the moment the club is currently up for sale, so its potentially turbulent times ahead

The managers outragous negativity and outspoken nature is damaging the 'brand' even more than the results. In the past it appeared temporary but with Jose the club appears second rate and that is what is different imo.

Clutching straws maybe but it is a lil suspect considering the account always tweets interviews after matches..

Fellaini shot so bad today it knocked a stewart off his seat.

I think the board will have seen the error of their ways with not backing Jose in the Summer. I think he'll be given next season with a whole wad of cash to see if he can cut it. I'd be happy with that as I don't think bringing a new boss in would radically change much.

"I mean if you’re Paul Pogba watching Matic, Herrera, Fellaini, Fred played the other night, not one of them can pass a football!"

Gary Neville is not happy with United!

We won't get top 4 and he will be fired. Can't see them giving him money in January either should he survive til then. He spent 50 million on fred and he can't even make the bench.

As for the last line, I'm genuinely flabbergasted that any United fan could still be happy with keeping him at the helm. This is worse than anything under Moyes or LVG.

If Poch came in and made no improvement, would you still say it's the manager?

Oh I don't believe the manager is fully at fault but he is a big part of it. There are a number of players there that are now on their third failed regime, that cannot big disregarded but you can't sack your squad. You are thinking of a handful of other posters that blame every single woe at the club on Jose.

Jose is the no1 problem right now.

Any manager that came in i think you would see an improvement straight away. Nothing can be as bad as it is right now. Today was embarrassing as was a lot of games under jose

    Christmas fixtures...

    Cardiff (A)
    Huddersfield (H)
    Bournemouth (H)
    Newcastle (A)

I think we'll bounce back in a big way with that run of games. Can see us picking up 4, even 5 points.

Until a new manager comes in and struggles with the players too, many will continue to simply blame Jose.

That's not a defense of Jose, mind. In fact, it's why I want Jose gone ASAP. The quicker he goes, the quicker a new manager can come in, and the quicker we can set up for the summer. The longer we wait, the more likely the board go "Ah, jose is the sole problem, we don't need a big transfer window."

    With a January Transfer window.

it makes sense. 4th might not even be out of the question with a new man in charge

Uniteds biggest problem is the man at the top. Ed Woodward. He's absolutely clueless on the footballing side. He's the common denominator in all this, since he's taken over, the club has quickly transitioned to the laughing mess it is today.

He's the man responsible for the hiring and firing, handing out new contracts and the signing of every player since Fergie left. Moyes didn't want Mata, LVG had no idea who martial was when he signed, he didn't want Falcao. Jose didn't want Pogba, Fred, Sanchez. Woodward is over seeing all this and it's a total mess.

400 million has been spent since Jose took over 2 years ago and the team is much worse than the LVG team. That says it all. The man needs to be taken away from the footballing or held responsible for each flop he's signed. Recent new contracts for young, smalling and martial is the icing on the cake. The man reeks of mediocrity. Aslong as the value of the club is high and they have a large amount of online followers he's happy.
Aslong as he's the main man the club will continue to flounder no matter who the manager is.

Also to say van gaal didnt know who martial was is laughable. I even knew about martial before he signed for united!

When did Martial sign a new contract?

Jose should be gone tomorrow- end of!

No other team of the stature of United would put up with this, Carlo Ancelotti for me would be an ideal candidate to try shore up things for a few years.

Neville repeating the majority of what I and others have been saying on sky, I’d imagine he’s a lot more clued in than your blow-in fan. Publicly calling Woodward and co naive and implying cluelessness at the top level

Wonder if the sale rumour is coming from here.

If they were going to sell it would make perfect sense. It really would be the logical reasoning behind so many stupid decisions.

Highly doubt it’s true though. The Saudi thing was probably on the table until they murdered a journalist.
