Win the rest of the league games and we're champions. Super easy stuff :)

If we could somehow get through in cl and beat utd on Sunday then what an amazing time it will be to be a pool fan

If a draw is not an option, I'd take Sunday.

Otherwise, I'd take going through Tuesday and a point on Sunday.

I'm a little worried about the impact on morale of going out of CL... but league has to be the priority.

I'm very happy today and you know what I'm starting to like it, my mouth was even making funny shapes earlier like curling upwards instead of down and I even showed some Teath, I thought I was having a stroke

I saw Hansen live, in his prime, hands on hips standing on the centre circle hands on hips watching his team mates destroy Spurs, as a child I was in awe. Believe me VVD would not have been out of place at his side.

I'd hate to say this, but Sunday needs to be our priority.

In saying that Thursday nights might be more detrimental to the league push than losing on Sunday.

Napoli won 4-0 against a side I've never heard of. Wonder did they rest anyone?

I saw Hansen in his prime as well. He and VVD would have been great together, but I’d give the edge to Hansen. VVD has been outstanding, but he’s got to keep doing it for a lot longer to match Hansen.

    100% Tuesday.

There will be plenty of points left to play for in the League after Sunday and yesterday proved that City are not unbeatable.

Plus, I think the Europa League would be far more upsetting to our rhythm than post-Christmas Champions League action.

Obviously hope we win both and I think we're more than capable.

I'd imagine a lot of Napoli fans have said the exact same thing about us after beating Bournemouth 4-0

I usually play down the Tyler bias points but I feel he's been unusually decisive with his language around the first goal.

"certainly should not have stood" etc, like it was marginally offside and all but I feel like he'd usually use more ambiguous language around a contentious decision.

And yeah, he does keep mentioning it alot.

I have a bug bear about offside this season and hardly any mentions of it when we are playing. The fact that it at least gets talked about, even if it is a decision that went in our favour instead of against us, is a good thing. It will hopefully make those that voted against VAR, and the journalists and pundits that had a sniffy attitute to it realize they were wrong and the sooner it gets implemented the better. In any case if our first goal was ruled out I have no doubt we would still have won comfortably yesterday.

I am also amazed that after the racial abuse Raheem Sterling suffered yesterday on the Sunday Supplement the journalists were rightly condemning the behaviour and stating the obvious, it has no place in football. Yet who are the ones who write the stories about him and the house he bought his mom? Or the tattoo he got? They are just as guilty for stirring that crap and they are now taking the high road. If they really want the high road they should shun their colleagues from the papers that allowed him to be a target. If a journalist doesn't want to be shunted, don't work for a paper that prints absolute horse**** to sell papers and appeal to the worst in people.

The success rate we've had with signings has been unbelievable since Klopp came in. It's great that he can work so well with the committee.

The only one who you'd class as a failure is Karius and he only cost 4m. Obviously it's still very early to say anything about Kieta and Fabhino but they look to be settling now as well.

Since football was invented in 1992 we've never had more wins, more points, better goal difference or fewer goals conceded after 16 games.

    It's bloody great.

Tuesday is vital. The impact the Europa league would have on our league campaign would be awful. 3-1 win. Come on

Looks like I will be proven wrong on Fabinho. He is getting better and better. Also Keita had a fine game yesterday

The team they has out yesterday was

    Meret,
    Hysaj,
    Koulibaly,
    Luperto,
    Ghoulam,
    Ounas,
    Allan,
    Hamsik,
    Zielinski,
    Milik,
    Insigne.

And the team they played in the first game against us was

    Ospina,
    Maksimovic,
    Albiol,
    Koulibaly,
    Rui,
    Allan,
    Hamsik,
    Fabian,
    Callejon,
    Milik,
    Insigne.

    So a few changes.

    I'd imagine we'll go

    Alisson
    Trent-Matip/Lovren-VVD-Robbo
    Hendo
    Gini---Keita
    The Boys

Seems to be in keeping with the subs and resting we've seen.

Then I'd imagine Milner will come back in for Utd for Keita.

I'm more ok with having the 3 yard dogs start in midfield if we've quality to come off the bench.

    [quote

Pep is just teasing he lost on purpose today to make it look like they aren't going to run away with the league[/quote]

That’s like something I said to a City fan workmate on Friday. I told him that City should throw a game so that they could prove they are the greatest by making up the lost points and still win the league. I said it tongue in cheek.

We're going to have to play out of our skin against Napoli. Not literally. That would be hideous, although the psychological edge woukd be immense.

Wouldn't be terribly surprised if Milner starts in midfield on Tuesday.

'Salah's spleen was offside for the first goal!'

Wouldn't mind us sticking with that midfield now - Fabinho, Wijnaldum and Keita. Very impressive from them all today. They offer so much more than Henderson.

There are 3 of them, in fairness to Hendo.

We have this cycle of writing off long term servants as soon as a new player has a good performance. Cue MOTM award for Jordan on Tuesday.

Has to be Tuesday over Sunday.

We can afford a poor result against a midtable side in the league. We cannot afford to be playing Europa games on Thursday evenings, it would be a devastating blow for preparation for league matches

As an oft much criticised cheerleader for Glen Whelan, and hence priding myself on appreciating a DMF, I am still a bit meh on Fab.

I know he's tall and gets about but he seems unable to pass a ball more than ten yards, seems to give away alot of fouls and isn't as mobile as I'd expect.

Perfectly grand and all just maybe not seeing the price tag.

Keita on the other hand, genuinely excited watching him play.

100%. The impact of the EL on our league campaign would be catastrophic. Finishing bottom of the CL group would be better than finishing 3rd. But lets not even think that way, all focus on winning vs Napoli.
