Loving The Final Table at the moment. It's a cooking show where some of the best chefs in the world battle it out, taking on foods from different countries and trying to impress judges from those countries. The weakest team is eliminated each time.

I heard someone talking about live shows on Netflix. How do I find them? I mean live as in now not recorded live like comedians.

    I know, right!

Watched the excellent 'Cargo' last night; an aussie 'zombie' flick with a great performance by Martin Freeman

Really great and underrated movie. Freeman was truly excellent.
A very nice twist on the zombie genre.

Crazy to think Netflix paid $100 million to keep Friends for a year!,who knew it was still that popular..

I do think it's incredibly overrated

Especially considering it's still on regular TV about 8 times a day and has been since it's original run finished.

Watched Girlfriend's Day there, can't say I'd recommend it but I would like to know if anyone else has seen it.

Bob Odenkirk as a card writer with writer's block, it soon becomes a weird Lebowski-esque tale as a competition is launched to write a Girlfriend's Day card and it is soooo random.

I wouldn't be in a mad hurry to see it again, but I quite enjoyed it at the time.

I enjoyed both the orginal Narcos and the new Narcos Mexico. The narration by DEA agent Murphy was a bit clunky at times but several features combine to give it an authentic feel - local news footage (the actors are well matched in appearance to the people they portray), scenes filmed on location and lots of Spanish dialogue. One is left with a strong impression of the utter futility of the drug war.

    Do I contradict myself?
Very well then I contradict myself,

I watched it when it came out first (I think around Valentine's Day?) and loved it. I really like Bob Odenkirk so will give anything with him in it a go, but I really really enjoyed it.

Thought it was very original, and very well made. Plus, it's only about an hour long IIRC?

About A Boy is one my absolute favourite films. Great soundtrack too.

Balto is also a favourite from my childhood, I love the character design.

Watched the first episode of 1983 last night and thought it was very good. It's an alt history thriller set in Warsaw where the iron curtain never came down. Would (vaguely) put you in the mind of Fatherland. It's about a terrorist organisation and a detective investigating them.

It's in polish and dubbed in English if you want, but as always you're better off watching it subtitled.

    Isn't it a prequel to 1984?

Nope. George Orwell's novel is mentioned briefly in it though.

Watched Christmas Chronicles. No kids to use as an excuse here. :)

Really enjoyed it. A nice fun movie. I've seen it compared to the original Adventures in Babysitting, which I also liked. I do see the similarities.
    No Thor though
Though if the clock on the camera is correct, surprised Santa hasn't been seen more often at that time

Just watched The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. I'm a fan of the Coen Brothers and all their quirkiness, so give it a thumbs up. I always find myself pondering life after their films and this one was no different.
