Sounds like a serious enough one for Gomez by the after match quotes. Probably be out for a while.

    Scan tomorrow.
Fúcking hope not, he's been fantastic and a real joy to watch, given his past injury worries.

Thought Keita was very good tonight, solid, didn't do anything stupid or fly in, looked very good going forward, Bobby looked full of life when he came on too keeping the ball moving and Burnley chasing

Mid week game onto a early Saturday kick off game :(

Late Sunday game, Wednesday evening and Saturday morning game is a tough old week.

2 dropped points for Arsenal against a really poor team.

I wonder will they do a Southampton and sack their manager.

It needs to be repeated many times how important Alisson has been with his saves this season at very key times to keep the team in games.

Any sign of Dyche post match, hearing a few hoarse moans will top off a pretty good night....
Burnley have won 2 of their last 20 PL games. Dyche should start moaning at the mirror.

It’s possible we could go the season unbeaten and still not win the league🙈

Great win. Was worried about the team selection and it took the quality that we didn’t start to win the game for us. Our best ever start according to Twitter?

Allison was excellent again tonight but and there's always a but could he have done better for their goal, tbh I think he could of held it but it was one of those 50/50 things I suppose

I won't blame him at all; he was the only one that reacted. Bit of help from the defense and maybe we don't concede. He'd a good game, top save, and great play for the final goal. One of our better players on the night.

    Worrying about Joe Gomez now.

Lovren can't be trusted to start games consistently & often. Matip just....I dunno!!

Clear foul I thought. Also, he played a big part in the Liverpool goal, a quick throw out instead of lying down on the ground.

I tried to hold a ball in a similar situation and the striker kicked through both ball and hand. Busted my finger and out for a few months.

    I prefer tonights outcome!

    City will have their blip.

    Relax.

We have to keep thinking this.

Keep breathing down their necks. Let everyone talk about them, and us win on the quiet. They had no one putting pressure on them last season, so lets see how they react.

City put a lot of energy into the early season in a bid to win it early again this season. Lets see if they can maintain this pace.

I'll happily take a 3 point decifit to them in March right now.

We only lost 1 game in 2009 and still didn't win the league. It's the draws that kill you!

You can't really expect a keeper to stop every single goal.

Don't see what he did wrong either.

Look at what he did at the end, prevented a goal and started the counter attack for the third.

No he couldn't have done better, the ball was kicked out of his hand.

Can you not just enjoy a good performance without looking for something to criticize?

    This is important.

Remember they won at a canter last season but nobody challenged them in the league.
United in 2nd never pushed them at all.

We showed last year that they can be beaten in both the CL and Premiership so this season lets see how they handle a team challenging them and keeping them under pressure.

15 games played 39 points and plus 24 goals ain't bad.

When was the last time Pep had a team challenge one of his teams in the second half of the season?

He has usually won the league by Christmas and is free to fail in Europe in the second half of the season.

I remember the loss to Boro. Horrible draws in December.

Who else did we lose to?

Were City not the chasers last year after United nearly had it wrapped up in August?

Absolutely no way could he have held it - he'd only just gotten his hands down onto it, when yer man smashed his foot full force through the ball. Nobody could have held that. Honestly though it should have been a free out, since technically he had control of it... can see why it wasn't given though as it all happened so fast and there's no way a ref could really see clearly that he had both hands firmly on it.
