Each to their own. Miami Vice, Hill Street Blues and Dirty Harry are still something I enjoy today and own DVDs of. They entertain and are no more or no less realistic than the boring cops in Taken Down but more entertaining with a few beers. Those TV series and films remain remembered. Will Taken Down be?

Red rock was better than this tbh. At least it kept moving.

Its hard to take some actors seriously in the roles. The Super as an example.He's been used in too many other RTE dramas. Is the pool of actors that small...although the acting for the cops is brutal all round.

That’s a fair comment!

Been a fairly uneventful series. The acting wouldn’t be on a par with love/hate.

Maybe they’ll pull it out of the bag with a big finale!

More of the same I expect and it will be confined to history. Would be very surprised if it got a second season. Its been watchable but very mediocre.

But they'll be angling for another season so there'll be a lot of loose ends in the finale!

And the announcer did say next week is the season finale which to me suggests it will be back.

It has certainly been a slow burner, that's for sure. It was watchable, but it was no Love/Hate. I've stuck it out for five episodes now, so I may as well stick around for the finale. But I don't think I'd bother returning to watch a second series. It would want to be one seriously good finale to change my mind.

Venetia would have came into it around 1995. She was a brilliant character. Real gregarious.
Actually to be fair to Glenroe, compare it to the sh1te on RTE at the moment, it was a decent show that in many ways reflected rural communities. Compared to some of the Big bow wows and Amy Huberman muck we've witnessed since it was a masterpiece.

This is like a drama without any drama. Ever since the whole brothel thing was introduced the story has literally moved nowhere.

And the script is actually going from bad to worse......

Detective walks into bedroom..........''This is his bedroom?''......
