Silva must have said lucky 50 times in his post match interview lol.

He's obviously not talking about Pickford so!

That's win hasn't gone down well.

    Makes it ten times sweeter

I'd say there were a few preprepared posts on how we bottled it deleted.

Good result for those in 7th to 10th though as Everton don't pull away.

I was actually raging when VVD tried that volley too, was properly shouting at the telly.

    Guilty as well.

Becker seems to be another leader in the team, I thought it was brilliant when he ran out and broke up the Gomez and Richarlson scuffle.

Basically told them to get a move On, there is 3 points to won here.

    Yeah was a great moment

As great as a late winner is, and as important as the 3 points were, it was a lucky goal and it will gloss over what was a pretty poor performance from Liverpool for most of the game.

Firmino looks a fraction of his former self. Salah is still struggling. Mane mixes the great with the terrible. The midfield isn't working, and our right hand side is still vulnerable with TAA. There are a lot of things we really need to improve.

Origi when he came on scored a goal, but straight after he came on he also took a ball down the right and went past his man. It was more than Firmino did all day. Probably didn't do enough to get a starting spot yet, but he's definitely knocking on the door and Firmino needs a combination of a rest and a boot up the arse.

I don't know what to do about the midfield. I don't think we know what our best three is.

Now that was one great result after it looked lost. I will say that while Everton was very good, a surprise when compared to their performances the last few years, they really only had a couple of clear chances. One which looked offside but the other was a good/lucky save. We had probably 3 chances where our players were one on one with Pickford and then Origi hit the bar as well. Don't think Everton were unlucky to lose, we were better if you look at what the teams created.

As for Firminio, there were some really great touches by him to set Mane and Salah away, which is better than before. Hopefully his form will continue to get better. I also hope we are not trying to lose games right now and in the new year we will start looking to win the games again. With Man City it could be easy to quickly fall 8 points behind if you are careless.

Many positives I feel, still only 2 points behind the top with our players still hopefully having more in them in terms of playing better. This goes for Fabinho and Keita. We are 14 points ahead of Utd right now and we have played all of the top 10 right now bar Utd and Bournemouth.

When Trent pumped that ball in, I’d have taken a huge slice of luck, even a 1 game touchline ban for Klopp, if it meant beating the bitter blues!!!

The issues we have, the problems in mid, the luck we had in the game.....don’t care right now, still celebrating!!! Have to spend some time laughing!!!

The faux outage about Klopp will subside, but for now, screw ‘em!!! Love the man!!!

General PL thread is very salty today for some reason just can't put my finger on it

When we eventially lose a league game it's going to be like a thousand Christmases have came at once for some but the City fans will probably be on the lower end of the spectrum in terms of happiness. :o

I think that effort from van Dijk proves that he's got some sort of divine intervention on his side, everything he does, even if it looks like complete shíte, just works perfectly.

Thankfully the Scouse void in the squad didn’t last for long after Gerrard left.

Love the passion from Trent, might not be as talented as others in the team but nobody will love that result more than him.

I wish I could see an easy solution to the stodgy pace and poor control. It's easy to say drop X but will that alter the dynamic? You'd never place much faith in Sturridge to stay the course as a starter, Derek is an unlikely saviour even if he clearly still has a turn of pace that could be useful. Is 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 the solution?

    TAA--Gomez--VVD--Robbo
    Shaq--Fabby-Kieta--Mane
    Salah--Firmino

What you guys make of fabinho. I thought he was decent, knicked a lot of ball off Everton.

Started very well, then he missed a couple of tackles and let Everton in behind him too easily a few times. Much more consistent in the second half, overall a good performance from him IMO. Was a huge fan of his when he played for Monaco, if he can fully adapt and translate that form over to Liverpool on a regular basis, he’ll be undroppable.

Good at times, not so good at others.

He needs more games though as does Kieta.

He was great today. Shielded the back line very well.

Would need the week off after that nearly but we have Burnley away on Wednesday. Burnley are not playing well but that will be tough after Liverpool’s last two high intensity games. Probably be a few changes.
