Scotch lock splicers

    Can anyone advise on the handiest way to remove these blue scotch lock - snap lock cable splicers / connectors - they are in a very confined awkward place and the cable is very light gauge.

    I normally jimmy them apart with a flat blade screwdriver, then fire them in the bin

    Thanks for reply Fancy Pigeon. I will have another go with screwdriver. They should be taken off the market - a very poor design and deceptive in that's it's difficult at times to trace faulty connections afterwards etc.

    Posi-lock taps are a much better design, if you remove scotchloks use some liquid electrical tape to seal the wires afterwards.

    Why do you want to remove it? If its to remove something that you no longer use/need then cut the wire near the block and leave the block in place as removing them can sometimes damage the wiring as you pull it out off the splicing connector. Tape up the end of the cut wire afterwards.
