    Hello,
Just wondering if anybody has ever known a case where an applicant of naturalization for Irish citizenship (on the basis of marriage to an Irish citizen) takes up residency in another Eu state before a decision has been made on the application... what happens? Is the application deemed cancelled / withdrawn? Or does it keep ticking? In a change of circumstances such as a their spouse taking a job in another Eu state what happens? Has anybody experienced this or heard of this happening? Curious to know.. Will be engaging an immigration lawyer for advice but, thought no harm to ask this forum too in case somebody has been in the same position. It’s a little worrying, especially as the application has been ticking for over a year and no clarifications or additional documents are required, but it is taking a good bit of time...

Ps - sorry if I haven’t filed this in the right topic, no idea where to put it.

    Thank you!

Seems like a bit of a mad thing to do.

Why would you roll the dice giving the circumstances. Madness

Agreed. Exceptional circumstances, but it’s a a tough decision to make without knowing fully what impact it may or may not have..
