It's not too bad to be honest, wait for the bite before you hook and don't reel while you see the water bubbling. When they stop moving just spin the right stick. Rinse and repeat till you get it to the shoreline.

I'm on Chapter 5 but is there any expansion on weapons? The weapons are kinda boring, the guns all kind of the same.

Wouldn't mind some flaming sling shots or some more funky guns.

FFS had 3 pelts on those 3 horses now they're gone along with one of the horses that's complete bull****!

Will have to reload the save from yesterday will be loosing like 5 hours. One of the horses was a quest reward. Had the majority of the pelts for the satchels as well. Massive F&^*%p

I read that legendary pelts will turn up at the trapper if you lose them...

Special ammo crafting to spice things up? There's nothing more satisfying than shooting up some bad guys with incendiary or explosive ammunition

There's first person on the console versions couldn't see why it would not be in a PC version.

Yeah, imagine not only being able to shave but brush your teeth, go to the loo, wash and iron your clothes.

I wonder if at some point you will be able to unlock the dishwasher or just hire a maid.

RDR can be as exciting or as boring as you want it to be.

I for one hope they don't lean any more into the realism than they do here, and in fact I really hope they dial it back to at least to the point where the game feels as fun to play as GTA V did. Seriously, if GTA VI has me lumbering around, stopping for petrol, taking my car to the car wash, changing clothes for gameplay reasons etc, then I will be seriously put off.

I can picture it now, having to whack out a smartphone or use Alexa to order a weekly shop so whatever badass I'm supposed to be playing as can feck off back to his apartment for the night to cook up a meal in an attempt to keep an overly fussy hunger meter at bay.

For the record I don't hate RDR, I just want my GTA to feel like GTA.

Can you miss out on missions? On chapter 3 right now...

And I seem to have been given the choice to pick a side between the Braithwaites and the Grays but I also have a Dutch mission on the map. I'm guessing Dutch is main plot related so if I did that, could I end a chapter and miss out on the Braithwaite/Gray storyline?

Nope you don't really have a choice, just play on and enjoy the show

None of those missions are missable I think, there are missable missions in the game related to honour though as far as I know.

White missions are missable, yellow ones are there till you do them.

I think there's a few yellow ones that can be missed too like in chapter 2

if you don't read the letter at Arthur's tent you miss the missions involving his ex

How do I get the poison arrow recipe? I'm at the fence but it shows it's locked? I'm starting chapter 6..

I think you have to pick and examine Oleander Plant first to get the effects then the arrow recipe is unlocked not 100% though!

Maybe you already have it? Fence in Rhodes. Also in a house near donner fallls

Can't believe I'd ever play a game where I'd have such a rigorous personal hygiene routine. Wake up at camp, don my Sunday best. Head into town for a spot of poker. While walking into the saloon, get kicked into the back by a rogue horse and land face down in the shít. All you can see are Arthur's eyes. Straight down to the hotel to have a bath obviously. Can't play poker like that.

edit - Has anyone made major changes to the control scheme to aid shooting/combat. Im a good few hours in and still feeling like winning gunfights is a bit more chance than skill. Not sure if ill ever master it.
