Radiator bleed valve issue

The grooves on the bleed valve on one of my radiators appear to be rounded as it won't turn with the key.

It's at the back of the radiator against the wall so I can't get at it with pliers or anything.

Any tips for this? Job for a plumber?

Has to be removed off the wall to replace. If your not confident doing that call a plumber

Make sure radiator is cold. Get a 6mm self tapping screw and plumbers tape ( available any hardware ). Drill a 5mm hole in top of rad. Wind tape around threads of screw, insert and tighten. 5 min job

and turned off so there isnt a whole system of water pressure to release from the tiny hole :)

A lot of the modern plugs have a screwdriver slot, You may be able to get a stubby screwdriver in to loosen it.

You may also be able to loosen the rad valves, lift the Radiator up and off the Bracket just enough to let you get the out and replace with a new one.

If you do decide to go the self tapping method make sure to close both Valves on the radiator first.
