That is probably my biggest dislike with the game.

I go full on GTA style and hijack a horse off someone.

trying to relax after a day in work this is not the game to do it. Said I'd log in and do a mission. Spawned by the lake in camp. Well while I'm here. Fished for about 20 minutes, then when I was walking through the camp I passed by the poker table another 20 minutes, had a shave put some grease? in my hair, read a book about nature. Finally got to the mission.

Do you need to buy a fishing rod or get it in a mission?

I helped a lad out with giving him tonic after he got bitten by a snake and bumped into him later and he bought me one of the most expensive guns I've seen so far. Result.

I got it in a mission in Chapter 3 (or at least this is the first time it was brought to my attention) but you could probably pick one up somewhere beforehand.

I love nothing more than chasing down witnesses and threatening them, pretending your going to let them go then shooting them between the eyes :D

    I'm a sick feck :pac:

How do you get the other camp members to request stuff? Do you need to progress the story? So far Dutch has been to only one to ask for anything.

You get Hosea's request when you inspect the book next to where he sleeps in the camp and Jack will ask you for something during a mission in chapter 2.

The rest are just random afaik (although some are triggered by playing poker/dominos with certain people) so just hang around the camp and talk to them.

I found out that the homestead I was trying to rob is part of a stranger mission and that was why I couldn't break in to the house.

Has anybody crafted the trinkets at the fence ? Can you have them all active or can you just equip a certain number ? I really want the one that stops pelts on your horse from going off since I've a bad habit of getting distracted :o

Having a very tough time with this game. I'm on chapter three and I'm not enjoying any of it. I'm trying my best, but the game feels like work, like a second job.

Tbh I really hate it :(

If you hate it just trade it or sell it while it's still new and you'll get most of your money back. Games are meant to be fun not a chore.

yeah some games just won't click with you, no point in forcing it, you just got to mosey on to something else

Unfortunately I bought digital so I'm stuck.

Like I said I tried my best to find something in it I enjoy but I'm finding it all just miserably dull. I do want to see what happens with the characters but the game part is definitely a chore for me

Leave it for a while so. I'm sure there'll be patches in the future so might be worth dipping back into again.

For the night that's in it, has anyone found a spooky spot on the map? I'd Google it but don't want any spoilers. Can anyone suggest a spot on the map to check out but don't tell me what's there?

I don't usually use these early game guides to find better gear, prefer to naturally upgrade my character but tempted to do this. How to find and tame one of the best horses in the game for free, only horse better can be bought after chapter 6. The fact that it will mean quicker travel times makes it worth going for.

pack some warm clothes if you're going after it, you can put outfits in your saddlebag. I worked out how to do it a few days ago, lots of trial and error. I'll probably hunt the horse over the weekend

Due north of the N in Ambarino and another well hidden cave below the I , if i recall the entrance is to the south and you have to crouch to get in.

Can't remember the exact spot but there's a stranger mission in the swamp/bayou area that's atmospheric. There's also a good few of the random encounters that can give a jump scare.

You might have to wait until night for it to show up though as that's when the question mark appeared for me.

Tried hunting that horse earlier. Was a pain in the hole. Couldn't manage it but then again I'm not the most patient either.

    From reddit:

"the issue where arthur puts his guns back into his horse can be avoided by going to a gun smith and pressing 'modify' and selecting ur two primary rifles/shotguns. Arthur then autoequips them when leaving his horse :)

Edit: Sometimes doesn't work but is still worth a try, kinda wonky"

I tamed a random horse earlier as I got stuck out in the middle of nowhere. First bit of a scuffle and he pegged it, never to return. Not sure if it was because of the low bond or I didn't have my saddle on him. When you tame a horse, what do you have to do to make it your permanent one?

Can you switch back to auto dead eye or are you stuck on manual once it's introduced?

Ride it around for a bit until you get at least level 1 bonding, then you need to get a saddle on it.

Speaking of, went into a gunsmith earlier and went through the customisations. Some class engravings and looks you can give them. Would definitely motivate me to hold some cash to spend on the guns I like.

    once you
    break a wild horse
    I believe you
    can switch your saddle
    from
    your regular one
    to the
new one, not sure what happens to the old horse, glue? I think it turns up at a stable anyway

    I over used spoilers there

There's a very creepy spot a little north of the O in Lemoyne, look around it and you'll see what I mean. Haven't seen anything spooky actually happen but I wouldn't be surprised if it did during the night. I'm going to go back again to have another look.
