No point in quoting Brendans tiny amount of posts but his post about fiona being cleared was delivered with panache. No lean

Clodagh reads like defeated wolf. That last post would have been the perfect opportunity to clear up some suspicions. But just disappeared....

Evening guys. That was a rollercoaster of a read, great work village!

I'm glad to see the few things about Ewan and Clodagh from the COP thread cleared up. Ewan, I get your reasoning of seeing who would jump on a Clodagh bandwagon last night, but what if your bandwagon worked and you actually got Clodagh lynched? If Clodagh was village or RV, that was a bit of a risk to take just to be able to analyse a bandwagon in the aftermath.

Anyway, Wendy seemed to be the one who was closest to jumping on a Clodagh bandwagon. Can we take from that that Clodagh is at least not on Team Sopranos? Doesn't confirm Clodagh with the FBI out there, but it helps show that her and Wendy probably aren't on a team together. There was no one really posting at that time in COP yesterday, no wagon forming on Clodagh, so no need for Wendy to make that post to try to blend in with the common village opinion. If she and Clodagh were both on Team Sopranos, it wasn't the best post for Wendy to make.

Great that we got Paulie and Melfi, but one thing stands out to beware of - Did the FBI sniper get a shot away between 1 and 2pm today? The OP says they will have two bullets to fire at anytime. The OP does not say that the ITA sessions are limited to one bullet. So, would the ITA be a good place for the FBI sniper to hide their shot?
    Oisin WW wrote: »
Was asleep after a very busy weekend.

Looking into this morning's events that I missed...

No munch could mean a BG protect, maybe one of them struck it lucky. However, since the OP doesn't have a 'no task' rule, it could also be that the wolves weren't successful with any task they might have had yesterday. The thread was so quiet, as well as being split between two different sites, it would have been risky to attempt a task.

Whatever happened, their kill this morning was not 'valid'...

...so the FBI picked up that kill I reckon. However, the wording above about 'that night' isn't so clear. Does it mean that the FBI get the kill after tonight's lynch, to be announced at 10am tomorrow?

We could be looking at two kills tomorrow morning if so (wolves and FBI), plus a conversion/Witness Protection attempt.
    Oisin WW wrote: »
The bolded part would have done just fine, without the rest of it which attempts to throw needless shade in the build-up to an unclear lynch vote.

This is a game about casting doubt, and I feel there's nothing outlandish about trying to keep the FBI sniper in mind after a slew of shooting. Interesting that you attempt to close down that avenue of investigation and call it outlandish.
    Oisin WW wrote: »
I mentioned them on COP yesterday and said we should be on the lookout for them then. Also, the lack of a munch this morning might mean that there was no successful attempts at a task.

Sure, that could seem unfair on the wolves for them to have to task for their first munch, but they had Paulie and his ITA bullet to potentially make up for a failed munch.
    Oisin WW wrote: »
I didn't deliberately set out to try and cast doubt on specific villagers, cleared or not. The ITA mechanic is confusing me a bit, definitely on a speed catch-up of the thread, and it jumped out at me that the sniper could be about. That's where my thoughts on the sniper came from. Reading back more closely now though and looking at the mod responses to the confirmed shooters, it does seem less likely to me that it was the work of a sniper.

In that same post though, I had thoughts on how we could use todays killings to possibly look towards clearing another villager from being Team Soprano based on their previous interactions (Wendy/Paulie--->Clodagh). As I said, I'm not deliberately trying to cast doubt on villagers, just looking to get myself into the game after a slow start and look at angles which weren't being discussed.

I like the content of his posts. I'm not sure what the negative read is that people are getting. I think he's lovely.

Off to bed now. so no more multiquotes.

    might still phone post though

Trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something nice (a BG protect, if you don't have an inkling on RVs) to eat.
Wolves and witches, Feds too, are waiting in the dark for you.

    Yeah, I don't get this.

Right, there was a village misunderstanding that made people worry Frank and Fiona were a team.

Fiona surely knew that was a mistake, and she wasn't working with Frank.

    So....voted Frank.

Why? Was there another reason to vote Frank this evening?

Why did I vote Frank? because I suspected him to be a wolf. Why else?

I reallt can't wait till pew pew time. Not because I want to die, but to show you all how you are all sheeple following a stupid comment about my timing. I have not had any time to actually play the game as all I have been doing was focusing on explaining Frank and I are not a team and I am not in Ireland. Kind of boring.

There were a good few voting Frank. Frank also tried to kill me. You should be looking at other Frank voters if that is your theory.

    Morning all!

So any villagers spend an hour in WP yet? If none by 10am then we'll have to assume FBI converted a mafia member successfully. It says "each night" so presume they have until 10am, like with the munch, to choose.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 2,516 ✭✭✭Katie WW

    Morgan all
Yesterday was an unexpectedly hard day and couldn't engage here properly.

But I've seen the light, entered it and have returned fully charged with more energy than Roberto Di Matteo's left peg. And the twice the energy of his 5 right peg.

Will be looking through the reasons given for voting for our dead lychee and sticking an early shout to a vote on the most suspicious NRV killer. Would have been nice if there was some cross ref with the ITA but so be it.

It's that time of the game.....can we please go after low posters.

The lunchtime gun fun periods offer us an even better reason to go after low posters. We have an improved chance of successful shots AND we don't have to spend the day debating whether to kill a low poster.

And, of course, each of the low posters has added incentive to join in the fun and start posting and contributing.

If you want to go after low posters why didn't you vote for one in the lynch yesterday?

Why did you vote no-lynch, Orla? Quite unusual to do after so much play happened.

Can somebody do a sanity check for me please? I missed yesterday that the ITAs weren't open for all, so just want to make sure I'm not missing something else -

Are there only two players that have double accounts?
    - FBI: head and sniper;
    - Parisi twins: Patsy and Philly.

    Gabriel WW wrote:

Because I wasn't around to 'encourage' them to post. And I'm not saying we just kill off any low poster. I'm saying we give them a chance to contribute and if they don't, then we kill them.
    Gabriel WW wrote:

Yeah a lot happened. We killed two wolves. If we had left if at that and voted no lynch we would be two wolves down, 1 nrv down and, as opposed to today, another nrv up (Frank). You think all you idiots who voted for Frank and Fiona on extremely sketchy evidence are in a better position than me?

Without better proof of someone being a wolf, no Lynch was the way to go. This isn't a normal game. EVERYONE has a chance to kill someone. We are not beholden to the lynch as our only way to kill wolves.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 4,233 ✭✭✭Orla WW

To be clear I put in no lynch as a placeholder in the afternoon. I popped back in but didn't see anything strong worth changing my mind from the placeholder.

We vote no lynch we definitely don't get a wolf. We might have got a wolf by lynching. When do we ever have "proof" of a wolf. We've generally got best guess or hunches, and we go with that when voting. Sometimes we hit, sometimes we don't. You gonna wait for "proof" when you start shooting at 1pm?

Didn't yesterday when she tried to shoot a NRV... which you actually shot :pac:

At least if we get loads of shots again today it might confirm more villagers (as well as potentially hit baddies)

Do you not understand net gain and loss? We could have been 2 wolves down for 1 nrv yesterday. Now we are 2 for 2. This will be important for parity since there are multiple wolf teams in play. Every villager we kill is one less the wolves have to kill to reach parity.

Maybe you won't have proof but absence of proof doesn't mean you go on no evidence like you did for Frank. You put off the kill until you have something better.

Here is the scenario; we put off all the lynches until the seer comes out with a load of peeks and not only do we have the count in terms of number of villagers we haven't killed, but we have bullets and lynches to kill the wolves.

Stop treating this like any other game where village kills are precious and hard to come by. It's not and they are not.

And with regards to 1pm, dessie, Liam and co have had their warning. Inactivity is as bad as your flimsy Fiona and Frank leads. It's much more damning in fact.

Then at least be consistent. If you wanna shoot without proof then lynch without proof too. Not this no-lynch bull!

Also, her shot didn't hit after multiple attempts. At least it gave Angus time to defend himself which he wouldn't have had time to do if she'd managed to hit on first go. I shot because he was poor at defending himself, but at least he'd had that chance. And we also all learned a valuable lesson about the correct format to use from now on.

Look I was excited to take my first ever shot with a gun. Hence shooting on a hunch and messing up the kill orders. I've learned my lesson there.

But the whole 'sometimes we miss sometimes we don't think' isn't as strong an argument as you seem to think it is in this case.

They have lost their vig. And a role blocker. Our roles are intact and won't be blocked. We also have 2 bgs! We can afford to wait to get the required info!

Actually I did not vote for Frank. But then again, the one I did vote for I had no proof for either. Just a hunch. Like (some of) those who voted for Frank (discounting potential wolves in his voters).

You take every opportunity to get rid of the baddies, IMO. Sometimes you'll be successful (Wendy, Riona), sometimes you won't (Angus, Frank).

Anyway, done arguing with you. Thank-you for answering your reasoning. I totally disagree, but at least you answered.

Thank-you. Now, the reason I asked, is this: 21 players signed up. We have 24 Anon Accounts. Two of those extra anon accounts can be explained by the two double accounts. What's the story with the third? Mods have said that there's no secret sign-up, or secret double account. They also said to read Rule 1 when asking about anon accounts. I have. And I'm still confused. So, thoughts people?

If you guys want me to say I shouldnt have shot Angus I'll say it. I shouldn't have tried to shoot Angus.

Having taken a shot at him and him being killed by someone else and turning out to be nrv I copped on we shouldn't be killing willy nilly.

I made a mistake and I'm acknowledging it and intent on not making similar mistakes over and over.
