Comedy Movies The Ones You Think Are Comedy Classics.

Like most Boardies I've seen a fair few comedy movies over the years some I would call comedy classics and some not so.
I'm a big fan of Mel Brooks Movies so here are a few I would put in my comedy library.

History of The World Part 1 which also starred Mel Brooks.

Young Frankenstein with the brilliant Gene Wilder and Marty Feldman.

Blazing Saddles with Slim Pickens and Gene Wilder.

Outside the above mentioned I would put comedy movies starring Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy and Burt Reynolds.

So what comedy movies would you put in your library?

Robin Willams comedy genius and a massive loss to the comedy world in general.

"Some Like It Hot" is worth watching just for the last scene with Jerry and Osgood in the boat. Makes me laugh every time.

You forgot Top Secret (which I've just discovered was Val Kilmers first movie).

Joke for joke no other films can keep up with them.

i wouldn't call Fargo a comedy, but the Coens have made some amazing comedies

    Raising Arizona
    The Hudsucker Proxy
    The Big Lebowski
    Intolerable Cruelty (very underrated).

    And to add,

    Groundhog day,

    Ferris Buellers day off,

    Ghostbusters,

The Princess Bride (Does that count?)

and to throw in an oldie so I seem educated, Safety First (You can see it on youtube, it's amazing. Just remember he did all the stunts without safety wires/nets)

    And Groundhog day ;)
Almost the time of year again for Scrooged, Bill Murray at his best

I disagree, See above for his best and probably second best. ;)
