Someone who will say the first nonsense that comes into his head is not a fit person for president.
They fail at the first basic test actually.

Again last night while floundering around trying to defend his previous mistruth and lies about travellers he came out with more.

He was done with after a few minutes ad spent the rest of the programme carping from the sidelines and smiling.
Somewhere a country club was missing it's buffoon tbh.

A lot of people who will be voting for Casey are not voting for president they are voting against the establishment.
What can Michael D achieve in the next 7 years that he couldn’t in the past 45 except more lavish living at our expense.

He can do the job and he won't embarrass us.

He will be a lot less about to do the job than any other candidate by 2025.

70% would disagree with you. And disagree where it matters - at the ballot box.

There was very little of interest in the debate at all.
The interviewer was poor, all the candidates came across poorly, no atmosphere either with no audience, it was piss poor tv tbh.
The only thing of interest was Casey's coolness, in comparison the rest were like prickly pears.

MDH is an embarrassment, but Casey isn't?

You’re never coming out with that when that’s put to you about the government!

    Casey's coolness?
Everytime he engaged with McCullagh he was on the defensive and made a balls of it.
    His Twitter/Trump nonsense,
His nonsense about the Irish in America not looking for 'special treatment' like de travellers.
His nonsense about re-inventing Facebook for the diaspora and then his attack dog at the start had to be put back in the kennel.

But his biggest failure was his abject failure to back up his traveller comments ending in the 'but the bene...benefits..'
Sad performance form him but well doen for valiantly sticking with him.

Tbf now, that's what any president will do.
The president will do fcek all, despite the campaign.
Casey has by far the most interesting campaign, if he turns that in to votes, that might turn heads in govt, but once the campaign is over, so is the grand gesturing.
It may well be that Casey performs well due to a protest vote, I hope he does, but I don't think he will win, I would rather he took an active political role after this election myself.

And for a socialist who is a landlord only to students and young workers, give me a break.

A socialist who brings his florist to Australia with him!

Last socialist I heard of doing something like that was Elton John!

Or am I mixing up socialist and pianist again:D

Bit like the goon who put a sliced pan up on his noggin, and then went all coy when he was challenged- the lad you spent several weeks of screen time defending way into the night and again the next day.

At least Peter Casey was telling the truth.

Past coming back to haunt you, Francie.....don’t go out on Halloween buddy.

The journal.ie are doing a poll now. Sorry I can't copy a link.
How will /can transfers work and do ye think Casey will benefit from other candidates transfers than Higgins?

FrancieBrady, what would it take for you to sway your vote to Casey? I'm interested to see what qualities you seek in your president ??

Performed poorly enough alright. Its a pity someone more articulate isn't available to deliver his points of view, but so be it, he still gets my number 1.

Still wasn't as bad as the Shinner. "Average wage" indeed, she was a laughing stock.

    .

He's getting my vote and that's exactly why.

I don't think he'll win, I hope he'll get enough votes for a few other politicians to sit up and take note that enough is enough when it comes to pandering to these parasites.

I'm not saying we should gas them, just that they should be treated exactly the same as I am!

The fact that they are up in arms at such a suggestion (when any other "oppressed" group in the world would be jumping for joy at the suggestion) just shows they know full well how society bends over backwards to accommodate their shítty "culture".

your talking to a person more invested in this election than even the candidates themselves.

Well.... maybe he brought his friend Davey Furnish with him to ‘look after the stalks’, no harm there, but there is a major difference- Elton was paying out of his own resources.

Doubt if little Mickeleen was, nah J Q Taxpayer got stiffed for that jolly, one would suppose?

If he does nothing else, Peter Casey is certainly pissing off some 33-carat knobs.
As you say - The "we in the media" comment as you say, says it all.

Quite a few veils appear to be slipping..

If Casey has done nothing else, he's certainly promoted open debate on a couple of topics that have been off limits up to now and he's shown the media and the establishment of this country up for the cosy little cartel that they are.

I get the feeling there's no going back from this. The stable door has been opened and it can't be shut again.

    About time..

I'd agree. If he had dropped out at the weekend, I believe he still would have attracted a sizeable vote - just as a push back against the Dail-Rte-IT circle by having the audacity to call out traveller behaviour as he sees it.

There are a group here that think Casey is going to win, but they are going to be very let down on Saturday. Him polling well should be the most they can hope for, and that's far from guaranteed.

I'd say very few think he'll win but he did say what people were thinking and he will do well for that fact alone.

Morning Ireland’s It Says In The Papers slot said it all. “When all the shyting is over”.

Heard it Mary, was on the ‘pan’ at the time as it turned out.

Got a sudden ‘surge’ and ‘released’ with the laughing

Poor girl made a hash of it but managed to continue, fair play to her.
