    Given recent events, culminating in a suspension today and being conscious that there will be aspects of on going cases that will be sub judice.

    Can I ask if a Garda's credibility / judgement is called into question, will this have any effect on investigations / convictions that said Guard might have been involved in (historically)

    Not sure historically but certainly ongoing (if still a Garda) his credibility is liable to be questioned

    No. His evidence given to any court will have been tested at the time and a decision made. The fact that he lied on some other occasion is not relevant and wouldn't lead to any cases being overturned on appeal.
