859 it is. Can live with that.

Still insane to think that the cheapest Pixel 3 you can buy is €60 more than the Note 9 was available for at 3 on release. I'm a big Android fanboy, but not enough to be shafted iPhone style by them.

Not if you want a pixel 3 instead of a note 9 it's not.

That said, it has to be what it's promising to be, but if not then I could get a note 9 (or more likely this 6T).

Was thinking of picking up a P3 myself, are these prices confirmed? Seems kind of high...maybe the 6T will be a better option...

I copied them from a Reddit thread about the euro price being leaked on some french website. I wait and see still.

Main thing I'm looking forward to though is this slate. I'd love the rumours of Windows 10 to be true about it but it's highly unlikely.

They seem embarrassed by the notch, and they have every reason to be.

The notch and the chin! Christ

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 26,658 ✭✭✭✭OldMrBrennan83

The notch is big but doesn't really matter a jot to me, nor does the chin. I've had a 15mm top and chin on my phone for 12 months now and it hasn't annoyed me in the slightest.

Its funny how the notch and bezel is completely removed in almost all the photos and videos they show :pac:

All the prices are INSANE. Really crazy.

The only thing I'd consider buying is the home hub, which is £139, but I'd hope that it's down around £99 when they run their sales.

Apple do the same in their adverts. Any I've seen use that planet wallpaper to make it look like there's no notch on the XS. Marketing. If anyone is stupid enough to buy without knowing then they deserve to pay double.

I dont mean using a black background though thats just normal, but they just had a 99% screen ratio screen showing the videos etc

It may be heading towards standard, but you're getting 4GB RAM, 1080P screen, 64GB ROM. It's substandard specs for the current standard price, or it's overpriced for what it is.

It's fair enough them telling you they don't want to enter a spec war, but on the other hand it's been proven time and again that devices with 6GB/8GB RAM are much smoother and faster AND on top of that, they say they have moved a load more processing onto the device, rather than on the cloud.....yet they don't up the RAM.....

After using one there's a lot more to it than numbers on a page. Guaranteed it'll easily run better than almost, if not all, of the so called spec beasts.

Not from what I've seen and heard. Regardless, it would run much better with an extra couple gig of RAM. That's a given. You're paying top dollar for a device. You don't want to feel like you're getting shafted.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 26,658 ✭✭✭✭OldMrBrennan83

There's 4GB in this one and I didn't feel shafted at all. There's nothing to compare to using one bar maybe a OnePlus. They just have the misfortune of ****ting up their camera every year.

I can't see the 3XL on the Google Store. Can we only order the 3 here?
