Is biology an extremely easy subject if you're good at rote learning?

We've had 3 HL tests on past exam questions and my scores are 100%, 100% and 98%. Is it an easy H1 if you are good at sitting down for hours and just taking it all in?

    There are no easy H1s.

It's definitely not extremely easy even if you're great at rote-learning because of the sheer volume of the course

Well stats wise (2018) it has the highest amount of H1's out of all these common subjects.

In saying that, you could argue that the students doing Biology work harder... or have a higher ability, but I wouldn't.

You may want to compare it against another subject, certain subjects like Music/Home-Ec/Art have a certain amount of subjectivity, so generally examiners are conservative on dishing out top marks for essays/practicals etc, whereas for a science, if it's right then you get 100% of the marks. The degree of subjectivity is less.

So if you're points hunting and you are an H1 student all rounder then here's the stats for a good few subjects. The person who created this got the data from examinations.ie/statistics

Edit: Unusually the number of Biology H1's doubled in 2018 from 2017, so they may try and adjust this back in the future.
