Well all that’s covered in the €89.50. I’m not here to complain about the ticket price.

I was speculating on what the final cost will be

id imagine you re right at about 100 euro

I saw somewhere online this morning that the Ticketmaster booking fee is €10.50, (on top of the ticket price) but I can't find it again to link to it...so I could have dreamt it!

I see they’re doing the ‘free album’ with every ticket thing here too.

all info on the camping. €30 a man, drive up the day before go home the day after, sounds an infinitely better option than sitting in a field for 2 hours in your car tearing your hair out.

Just had a look on Ticketmaster at some other gigs and €6.85 seems to be the max charged so we’re looking at €96.35 a ticket. Extra if you want the hard copy of the album.

Gigs are expensive these days as the music is pretty much free, if you don't want to go cause its a tenner too much, dont but the conversation about TM fee is tedious.

Again, I’m not complaining. Just trying to figure out how much the final cost will be.

(Apologies if that wasn’t aimed at me).

To be fair, they were the first with the news on this.

Looking at it and my experience of these cities.

Manchester would be easiest to get to.

Then any of prague, berlin, madrid, barcelona would be my picks. If you haven't been to Prague go there beautiful city and cheap.

Having been to see them in Lisbon in February I would consider there too!

Was super cheap, everyone nice, good food, cheap beer, cheap flights....

Anyone want to guess how quickly the tickets will sell?

Got friends looking to travel from Jersey and Portugal and not sure if they will have time confirmed off by Friday :|

Most had “according to the Sun” in their write ups though, RTÉ, Buzz, Entertainment.ie for example

It won't sell out quickly, if at all. They may announce a sold out show sometime on Friday, but it won't be. Anyone that wants a ticket for this concert will get one.

Didn’t see it but just read some of the quotes on RTÉ and yer man Mountcharles really seems to be stretching things a bit with the links between Slane and Metallica, “they formed in 1981 and the first Slane was in 1981 and they covered a Thin Lizzy song and they headlined here too”.

If you want a ticket wait till a few weeks before, they will be going for half price.
No point in buying now 9 months in advance.
The promoter is very considerate waiting till pay day to put tickets on sale.

I could be wrong but I dont think he is. Perhaps he just knows - like anyone with half a brain - that the S*n actually is a f*cking rag.

I am a Liverpool fan, but as you say, anyone with half a brain knows that the Sun is a rag.

As mentioned early on in this thread those 2/3 bands to be announced will be measured on how well this concert sells.

It being one week out from Download helps MCD to pick from a decent pool of bands that will be over this side of the world come June.

Scraping the barrel with the whole Slane thing now it's had its day. Very few bands can sell the venue out now not least these guys. Read its all cash with them now didn't these thrash metal Satanists do a duet with Lady Gaga?

Thrash Metal satanists? Don't think you have ever actually listened to them.

They have done loads of collaborations across many genre. It's cash with every band don't be naive. Crossing over into the mainstream is what has kept them relevant and reached a higher level of success than their trash metal counterparts.
