Stupidly left the oil run out so need to bleed the boiler. It's a GRANT Vortex combi. And the red reset light is turned on.

I've never bled a boiler so would appreciate if someone could highlight on the pics what to do and how to do it!?

    Many thanks !!!

Take the red cover off, follow the fuel pipe into the burner. There you will find a 15mm bleed nut. Open this a few turns and you will hear air escaping which will then turn to a drip drip of kero. Tighten the nut and hit the reset button. Should fire up, if not repeat prociedure.

As above but also this would be a good time to clean it out.

The eye jet will most likely be dirty also.

You can take the metal inserts out from the top inspection cover.

Soot will be a plenty I'm sure unless you have had it serviced.

Thanks all for the advice....Going to try this later on, just got fuel tank filled up. Found this video online which seems to be exact same burner with the steps involved...seems handy enough!
