Where to buy a suite of furniture

Hi guys,

Can anyone recommend where to go to buy a new suite of furniture? Up north is ok also as close to border

FG deals direct in Westport. They do liquidation and surplus stock but have lots of household furniture as well.

Hi Brendan,

When looking for new furniture a few years ago, we wanted to see if we could get an Irish made product and we came across Finline Furniture . All their furniture is handmade here in Ireland. I cannot praise them enough for the quality, comfort and service. We bought the large Cumbria sofa & armchair and after almost 6 years they are as new looking today as the day they arrived. No sagging of cushions or anything like that... and we have 2 young kids! If you look at that couch, you will see that that the back cushion has a divide in it which allows you to pull out the lower bit for more lumbar support.

We also bought 2 harvard armchairs and they are amazing. The whole frame is made from one solid piece of beach!

I think this furniture will be with us for many many years.

I'll second finline - not the cheapest, but quality is second to none.

If you go to their Emo showroom (30 seconds off the M7), you can watch the furniture being made.

You'll find it difficult to find anyone that has a bad word to say about them - and they're in business a long time.

But wherever you buy, avoid dfs at all costs - overpriced, dodgy high pressure sales tactics and appalling after sales service.
