2004 free movement eu legistration

I am British and obtained an Irish Visa for my Thai wife using the 2004 free movement of people legistration. My wife is now in ireland and in effect has a few months to obtain a residents card if she wants to stay here.
Can anyone tell me what the procedure is (applying to INISS) to obtain a residency card

our case is a little more complicated than the points covered in the form. My wife has a 50% share in 4 apartments which we rent out. The form attachment of the application for residence asks about income tax registration, which both of us have, but the dublin airport immigration stamp states no unauthorized work allowed, but we cannot get authorization until Iniss is willing to give interview, but Iniss will not give interview. Then there is a matter of travelling to other countries, is she allowed (multi entry) to travel with the 3 month visa she has or will she be allowed to travel after the residency card is issued. Also there is the matter that Iniss seem to concede that residents cards take six months to issue, but my wife's visa only lasts for three months....Is the visa time limit dropped for people who have applied for residency card

You and your wife are inside or outside Dublin ?

You need to talk to INIS. I would suggest putting all your questions in an email and sending it via your local td. You should get a response fairly quickly, INIS is one of the government agencies with an Oireachtas service.

You should complete an application for a residence card (EU1) and provide proof of marriage (marriage cert), proof of address, and proof that you the UK citizen are exercising your free movement rights: One of the following:

In employment
In Self Employment
Enrolled in education, with sufficient resources & private health insurance
Have sufficient resources (have enough of your own money to support yourself without needing to access state benefits)

Once you have provided proof of marriage and proof that you are exercising your free movement rights your spouse should receive an acknowledgment letter and a letter granting her temporary Stamp 4 (with the right to work) until a final decision on the residence card is issued (on average 10 months).

If the residence card is granted then your spouse would receive a 5 year Stamp 4EUFAM.

If you are not in employment or in self employment but that your entire finances comes from rent you could provide proof of bank statements and argue that you are self sufficient
