So Rugbypass will now have Champions Cup, Pro14, Summer, and Autumn Internationals.

Pretty great option if you're a cord cutter.

    Update on roi skybox
    Eir 1 cardiff v Leinster
Eir 2 this prog not available

    Other channels
Premier 1 hd this programme not available
Premier 2 watching Ospreys v edi
    Freesports in other channels

Uk getting a better product at least you can choose your game - tbh this is a poor offering for roi at least last year I could flick between BBC alba tg4 or BBC no to watch a game

Happy enough with the Chromecast picture via Android so far.

Watching premier 1 on my phone totally different build up to eir sport 1 - premier are at the ground while Luke and co are in the Dublin studio

That is because it is a home Welsh game.

Can't watch shíte as stream isn't up yet. Honestly pissed off at this BS. I can't even get it if I want it.

Can you just get an online version of premier?

I don't mind paying - why the f are they putting up so many god damn walls. Horseshíte and anti-supporter.

Sound and picture are a bit out of sync for me.

Premier sport 2 in the clear in other channels on sky box

    Freesports all ok

Will spend the night flicking around - might be just easier to watch Bristol v bath

Eir Sports 2 showing Cardiff vs Leinster under 'other channels' which is not blocked here in NI. TG4 coverage of same match also 'in the clear' on Sky and Freeview.

Different match commentary between eir and premier on Cardiff game

Eir Sports 2 showing Cardiff vs Leinster which is not blocked here in NI. TĢ4 coverage of same match also 'in the clear' on Sky and Freeview.

Eir Sport 1 and HD are also free here in Dublin tonight on the sky box and showing Leinster

Eir 2 not blocked because it is carrying the premier sports feed with the same ads. The eir 1 feed would have ads for ROI.

In NI are there three channels on the sky epg premier 1 2 and eir sports 2

Should say Eir Sports 1 also 'in the clear' in NI.

Just to be clear it is Eir Sports 1 on Sky epg not Eir Sports 2 here in N. Ireland. The latter can be added under 'other channels'.

My eir sports 1 and 2 are off air on sky. The Bt channels are working. WTF.

Who's the Welsh commentator in the Ospreys game? He's shouting into the mic.

The other fella is constantly talking over the ref when he's issuing instruction.

Must admit I'm very impressed with Rugbypass:

Logged on and there's a nice menu of all the in-progress games, you pick the one you want and then it asks whether you want to watch live or start from the beginning of the game.
Not sure where the video feed came from, but it's a nice smooth and sharp 720p HD one on the Rugbypass stream (okay just came up, it was Premier Sports).
Stable and no issues with buffering either.

Definitely think I'll stick with this, especially considering it's dead cheap for all the competitions.

Of course, not everybody lives in (checks notes)...Hong Kong, like I do.

Was just about to post about RugbyPass. They had a smattering of Pro14 games last season but this season they're showing every game in round 1 and 2 at least. Do they have full rights this season?

    Yours sincerely,
    Your neighbour in Hong Kong

The rugbypass app looks very nice. I like the way it is presented.

I thought the chromecast couldn't support dns change though.

Anyone else think the picture quality on eir 1 HD is terrible?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,836 ✭✭✭Tigerandahalf

I mentioned before how I sometimes see motion stutter on the chromecast streams.
Someone mentioned the following in another thread.
    .....
Chromecast working ok from the Android app now. Buggy, especially when changing stream, but at least its there. Need to enable 50Hz mode in the chromecast settings (Home app) to avoid motion stutter.

Dunno, the rights were only announced today and they didn't include any detail about the exact number of games. I'll be sticking to the weekly pass so I can cancel at any time anyway, in case the offering suddenly becomes rubbish.
