My weekend is looking like this at the moment, some load of overlaps though

    Friday
    Seamus Fogarty
    The Brummies
    Kendrick possibly
    Otherkin

    Saturday
    Gomez
    Sigrid
    Friendly fires
    Wolf Alice
Hopefully bomb out to These Charming Men
    The Minutes
    NERD/Le Galaxie
    Massive Attack

    Sunday
    Dublin Gospel Choir
    Wyvern Lingo
    Garbage
    Chic
Possibly the end of Benjamin Clementine
    Bitch Falcon
    St Vincent
    Sleaford Mods
    RSAG

The Fontaines DC, Bitch Falcon,Colter Wall on Sunday and The Minutes and King Krule on Saturday are particularly annoying.

Same here, but Bitch Falcon playing B&S at 1.15am on the Fri night. Reckon Fontaines will turn up at some time at Jerry Fish.

Opting for Colter Wall myself as the other two are local & play regularly, he may not be around for a while, even with an album out in October.

Can't wait. Only second year but just did up my first-go wanna see / aspirational / optimistic-me list up. About 35 acts ... But 15 clashes so work to do to iron em all out.

Am going to come back to the clashes but first work out my can Vs bar strategy.

Is there a list of stages outside main arena (cans anytime)? Salty Dog I am sure is out ... Rankin's Wood? Trailer Park I think is in main arena? Other Voices, not sure at all ...

Crowds? I'm just thinking start of mass exodus? Chance it?

    cheers

Skip the last couple of tracks. Everyone else will be too bewildered to get it together for an hour after.

So outside the arena you have:

    Salty Dog
    Rave in the Woods
    Hazel Wood
    Trenchtown
    Transmission
    Other Voices
    Anachronica

    I think that's all.

Did this before. When you are finished get food and non alcoholic drinks into you. I forgot how dehydrated i would be and started drinking. I ended up in a total hoop within a few hours. Few hours later i tripped over a tent line and ripped the tendons round my ankle. Ended up missing modest mouse and jonsi that night.

Im really hoping the shuttle bus from Portlaoise Train Station stops at the Green Car Park so i can get to pink moon quicker then having to walk all the way through Hendrix

Don't know the car parks as don't drive but bus stops near the entrace with the paintball if that any help.

Currently depriving myself of sleep by watching live performances on YouTube.. Jungle's on KEXP has me excited.

Can see the crowd really getting into this.

Impressed with Mount Kimbie's live set as well.

Saturday is just mental for me. 19 acts I want to see. 19, in one day! Nuts. Obviously not practical but we're spoiled.

Will finalise my to-see list tomorrow as best I can, I think.

Seriously though, be careful at the bars.
Too many stories of folks being short changed in recent years,

I know I'd be in no state to read the screen to see how much I'm tapping to pay after about 8 pm on each day,

Cash is King. Small denominations. €25 is the roundabout figure for 4 beers. Wouldn't trust brining mty card into the festival.

Friend coming from glenties is insisting that you can drive into the campsites, drop off your stuff then drive to the carpark.

    Is this true?

He says u can do it before the campsites get packed but I said even if it was quiet there would be an issue with private cars driving around pedestrian areas

The reason he wants to do this is he has a load of camping equipment and wants to drive in to drop off before. Also I Think he won’t be allowed use the camping stove etc but I havnt mentioned that to him yet!

Ah here! Everyone will have camping equipment. Just load it on your back or a trolley like the rest of us.

Friends first festival ? No gas allowed on site.

When you arrive into the car park you are directed straight to a parking space. No wandering around like its a tesco car park.

Tell your friend to only bring what he can carry, or get a trolley.

If your friend brings too much - don't help carry it, they'll learn their lesson for next time.
