I've only ever seen them once live in Dublin not long after 'TOTBL' came out (I think) and they were excellent. They were also supported by the then little known Franz Ferdinand. Brilliant gig.

I see they've just announced an Olympia gig today. I'd go but the tickets are far too much and they'd just play lots of newer stuff which I'm not really into.

It's been a good week for new album announcements. I love Spiritualized but, again, found them to be very inconsistent in recent years. Definitely a case of 'I preferred their early stuff'. Will be giving this a listen though.

Low announced a new album today, 'Double Negative' - for me, one of the most consistent album bands around. They're also playing Dublin - Vicar Street - on October 17th. Tickets on sale on Friday morning.

I only discovered him earlier this year - I listen to him almost daily now - he's class.
Have a listen to his album, it's on Spotify - honestly amazing.
Sold out 4 Glasgow dates in literally seconds this morning and is headlining the TRNSMT festival next year after starting off only last year playing a crappy early afternoon slot.
He's gonna be big...

Saw them supporting the Cure last month and it's the best I've seen them since RDS 05/06. That says it all really.

Elephant's second album has just been released. Band is basically the vehicle of Dundalk man Shane Clarke. Album getting rave reviews over the last few weeks including 5 stars from the Irish Times. This song was released maybe a year ago but I'm just now discovering how brilliant it is. So much going on.
