ACCA P7 Irish vs Int Variant

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had any advice on whether to sit the International paper or the Irish variant.The closing date for standard entry is Monday 30th July for the Sept session.

I know I would need to sit the Irish variant to gain the practicing certificate but I only have access to the Int notes. I also have seen the Irish paper doesn't break down the mark weighting of the different sub q requirements,which makes it much more difficult for time mgmt.

I gained a 47 score in the Int paper in June,& I saw exclusively Int papers on every desk so I'm assuming most people sit this variant.Would anyone have advice on this please?

I sat the Irish paper in June and failed it and yes the lack of mark allocation in Question 1 is very off-putting. Also, I think in a room of 25, 3 were doing the Irish variant and my class in Dublin had 3 out of 35 students doing Irish variant.

Now on to the practicing cert. Yes you need to pass P7 and P2 Irish variants to get the practicing cert but I wasn't informed of this and passed P2 international variant first time!

I'm going to sit the international variant of P7 in September and although I work in practice, I want to focus on qualifying first of all and then worry about the rest down the line. ACCA are constantly changing and there's very little difference in the content of the exams so they may well get rid of it at some stage.
