This same house exists in Ireland. I call it the Villa de la Conquistador.

Different vintage I reckon. More impressive is if you use Google street view for a 360 spin and take a look at the 1970s bungalow acroos the road and the 1990s / 2000s house beside it

    Nothing like progress ... ;)

If I had a spare €75,000 (and some paint), I think I'd like to buy that house.

You want a weekend getaway to go fishing?
    75k + 10k (Legal+ engineers report) + 15k (insulation + wood burning stove + rads) + 5k (misc, furnishings, flooring and doors and carpets)

Thats 105k can you get that back in 5 years in Rent?

Oh and whats the story with 1/5 share in this and 1/2 share in that crap!?!?!?

The advert is illegal too as it doesn't have a BER rating.

You can only wish it has a "G" rating. I'd say you could shovel coal into it for the night and it would still be freezing

No, I'd quite like to disappear to the middle of nowhere. To hell with insulation; an extra jumper would be grand. Just looking at it on Google maps, it looks quite idyllic.

    Is that jumper damp-proof?

Damn, I had taken that Damp proof course for granted. I never lived in a house without one its amazing how a thin pit of plastic makes all the difference

It's a cupboard in a cupboard! Kind of like a Russian doll. For the bargain price of €620 pm you can experience what it is to be the littlest Russian doll.

Stuff like that makes me angry.
And kind of afraid for the future because i will be looking for another rental in the foreseeable future.
Might turn out that i just cant afford staying here in Ireland anymore because as a single person with a pretty decent salary it will be impossible to live on your own without commuting 3 or 4 hours a day.

But keep building 2 floor family homes only. It is going great after all.

I'm contemplating of moving back to Ireland but the prospect of living in shared accomodation in a tiny, hotel like, overpriced, non sound proof room is putting me completely off.

The door is to the right of the wardrobe, it'd be a tight squeeze!

There's barely space to put your head in the bed because of the bookshelf, I wonder how many times the last tenant banged their head off that?

Nor a fire escape, a death trap if ever there was one.
