    Patricio/Fabianski

    Win-Bissaka/Bednarek/Coleman/Emerson/Shaw

    Jota/Mata/Sane/Felipe Anderson/Mahrez

    Aubameyang/Lukaku/Niasse

    1m left in the war-chest.

Obviously early doors, but any thoughts?. Heard Emerson could be in with a shout to start left for Chelsea, while Shaw seems set to start the season at LB according to Jose's comments anyway. I think Bednarek and Win-Bassaka will be cheap rotation options and are close to regular starters, while Coleman is nailed on.

Jota I suppose is the unknown quantity but lit up the championship for Wolves last year. Mata at 6.5 seems reasonable as he looks to be a starter early on (from what I read on here anyway). No World Cup for Mahrez and Sane suggests they will be in from the start, while Anderson's stats for Lazio look decent, although he'll be firmly a benchwarmer for GW1.

PAA and Lukaku take up 22% of the total budget between them, but Kane at 13.5 is too much considering he looked knackered at the WC and is notoriously slow to get going. Niasse is a "fill spot 15" inclusion based on a hunch that he might lead the line for Everton.

I think it's balanced enough overall, although lacks another "wow factor" player, in a position I cannot quite put my finger on.

    ^^

No Liverpool attack? I'd definitely look to rectify that anyway. Even if it's Mane instead of the pricey Salah.

Bednarek looks a little dodgy given that Southampton are strongly linked to bringing in a centre half (unless that deal fell through (I haven't kept tabs on it)) Bennett of Wolves, Peltier of Cardiff, and Wan Bissaka are apparently the best of the 4m options. Granted you probably won't go with Bennett though because of Patricio.

Lukaku could be dodgy to start the opening few week or two as well. As for Niasse, I've personally decided to stay away from the whole Niasse/Tosun choice as I have no idea who's likely to start between them.

Few cheap (relatively speaking) big team punts in there like Emerson, Shaw, and Mahrez. They could work, but they could equally go the opposite way.

Not sure where Gabbiadini will figure but if they do buy Ings then it’ll be a case of alternating between Ings and Austin depending on which one is injured.

A new draft I'm quite excited about..
    DDG (Button)
    Bailly Coleman Robertson (Wan-Biss, Peltier)
    Martial Salah Jota Siggy Gerry
    Firmino Aguero (Quaner)
Went for Martial over Dilva as I want to see what city start like, hoping Martial starts up front. Will WC first international break I think.
Edit - Thoughts on going with - Salah Sane Siggy Kenedy Cairney in midfield instead?

Liverpool x 3 and Man Utd x 3 with only one player from City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs combined seems like a very risky approach and putting a lot of eggs in the two baskets!

Looks good on paper- but why risk Shaw. Go for someone nailed as your sibs may not play either-
With Kane and De bruyne, why not get say Aguero and Sane and bank the cash if you wanted to change in first few weeks. But should easily outscore them. Not fan of jorginho either like the rest

    Begovic/Fabianski

    TAA, Bednarek, Wan-Bissaka (Zanka, Bennett)

Salah (C), Son, Milovojevic, Sané (Neves)

    Aguero, Vardy, Arnautovic

    From the OP -

‘If people are posting their teams could they offer some reasons why they chose some of the players and also offer advice to others, cheers.’

This still seems to be relevant.

Salah (C), Son, Milovojevic, Sané (Neves)

    Aguero, Vardy, Arnautovic

I've always followed the mantra of "never chase last weeks points" and for me, you can extend this to Milovojevic this season. Just a gut feeling.

Son is a waste for the first few weeks, his game time will be limited.

    A re-jig, thoughts very welcome.
First and foremost I see myself using wc by gameweek 6 at the latest but more likely after gamweek 4.

    Keepers,

Alisson: I think he is a great keeper and I expect Liverpool to now keep a lot of clean sheets. He'll be staying for the season I'd expect.
Pickford: Rotates perfectly with Alisson and even though they are costing me 10.5m I feel there is value in this pairing.

    Defenders:

Azpi: Just solid and worth every penny imo.
Janmaat: Two good fixtures in the first four weeks opposite the cheapy I'm hoping gets games.
Wan-Bissaka: The cheapy I'm hoping gets games with two friendly home games.
Daniels: A frustrating player but goes well at home and a couple of nice fixtures.
Perreira: The second gameweek was looking a bit tricky and they are home to Wolves. I feel this lad is going to do very well at Leicester so suits me to have him from the start.

    Midfielders:

    Salah: Must have
Sigurdsson: Nice opening fixtures, hoping he will find his form now.
Sessegnon: Classy kid, willing to take the chance on him from the start.
Wilshere: Two nice home games in first four weeks. Great coach at the club, expect to see him in a David Silva type role.
Neves: Really impressed by him in the Championship last year, bonus point whore is what I'm hoping for here.

    Forwards:
Aubameyang: Class act and I expect him to be the top forward this season.
Tosun: Taking a bit of a chance that he'll start but nice fixtures if he does.
Firminho: Liverpool's early fixtures mean I must have two of them.

You've already mentioned why you're doing it and you feel there is value but surely you could downgrade 1 to a 4.0/4.5

10.5 is so much money on two goalies and in fairness, both Liverpool & Everton have good opening fixtures so you're giving yourself an unnecessary headache of who to play? Even GW2 is a toss up between vs South or vs Palace and potentially leaving points on the bench where could be better spent elsewhere? Just my two cents!

I was also very keen on Wilshere at that price but the latest quotes from the player himself and from the local press is that he will be played more as a holding midfielder at West Ham.

I would just struggle to justify no City attack, unless the plan is to bring them in after the first week when the likes of KDB, Walker and Sterling are back.

I really want Aubameyang, but having him, Salah and Aguero seems impossible if you want balance, and I really can't shake the Aguero itch.

    Demarai Gray
    Will Hughes / Tom Cairney
    Aubameyang

it's not the worst. I'm assuming that Bennett, Wan Bissaka and Hughes will start.

Bit of a redux....swapped in Mane for Mahrez and Pereira for Emerson. Guaranteed starters both. Swaying towards subbing in Firmino for Lukuaku, wil make the call closer to GW1

I absolutely definitely would, two Man Utd attacking players would be crazy, I'm finding it hard to justify one!

I have a similar one now, trying to fit Salah, Aguero and Auba:

    Ederson/Button

    Coleman/Bailly/PVA/Daniels/Bennett

    Salah/ Mhki/ Pedro/ Redmond/Richarlison*

    Aguero/Auba/Kamara

Have Richarlison in for now assuming he transfers to Everton, but I also have 0.5m ITB, not sure what I want to do... I've been scared off Sanchez and back to Salah!

My first draft, and a week later I'm still struggling to tear it up.

    Ederson / Fabianski

    Daniels* / Azipilicueta / Coleman / Alexander-Arnold / Cedric*

    Salah / Mihitaryan / Sane / Neves / Lingard*

    Zaha / Firminho / Barnes*

    Playing 3 5 2 with * all benched GW1

I want MC cover in defence so felt Ederson is worth it, with a good backup in Fabianski who I had at the end of last season and really got value out of.

I like Coleman...he's had a good break and is excellent value. Worth the punt. I also wanted some solidity hence Azpi for the splurge with Daniels & Cedric good backup options. I want some Liverpool cover so happy to go with AA.

I don't want Salah, but somebody made the excellent point already on this thread that its easier to get rid of him than to try and get him in if he's pulling up trees. I could change Salah and Lingard to Sanchez and Mane for an exact swap. I'd prefer this but its risky. Sanchez is great value for 2016 Sanchez. Not so much for 2017 Sanchez.
Lingard may have a WC hangover.

I'm not wild on my strikers. I've always had at lease Kane or Kun. Firminho is a lock for now as my main striker. Barnes was a very handy bench option 2nd half of last Season so I'm happy to stick with him.

I've no Spurs at all....I'd like Erikssen, and had great value out of Bavies last year.

    Open to suggestions/criticisms
