Daughter bought a 1.6 2008 zafira in UK during the week..just mentioned to me that the fan makes a loud noise when you turn it on? What year zafira were recalled due to an electrical fault that could result in going on fire? Hers has the newer type handbrake lever. Like an airplane thingy.. thanks

Zafira B, not sure if that's the model generation or a specific type from those years.

The model affected is the Zafira B, built between 2005 and 2014. 240,000 cars are affected by the recall across Europe.

We bought a 2008 zafira 1.6 petrol last Feb.This model is affected by the recall.If you give Opel Ireland a call and give them the reg of your car they will tell you if it was done under the recall and where.

Just seen yours is UK so ring Vauxhall in the UK.

Car came with old receipts and included a list of checks/replaced parts which referred to the recall. Same type of report my neighbour showed me from our local Opel dealer.,
