Buying sketches or prints of Limerick in Limerick

Hello,

I need a "gift from Limerick", with a budget of circa 30 Euro. I think that a pencil drawing/sketch or else a nice print of a painting would do the job (as the budget is not enough for an actual painting).

Where can one buy such things in Limerick?

I've seen those a lot in Adare, but they are of Adare and I need Limerick City.

There are large prints available of old black and white photos of Limerick. I think we have the full set of them at this stage. :pac:

Check Lucky Lane off Catherine Street. They're only a fiver a pop.

Do you me mind asking who is it for? If it's for an Expat living abroad I'd recommend the Stroll down memory lane books by Sean Curtin.http://www.memorylanelimerick.com/ Lots of photos of old limerick and are about €15 each and there's 17 volumes. Also +1 for Lucky lane.

Re expat - it's the other way around. The gift is for my mother back in Russia. I moved to Ireland 12 years ago.

I've heard great things about a place on Thomas Street that sells a lot of unique design stuff by Limerick artists. I haven't been there myself and don't know the name. Maybe somebody else here knows about it?

If so check out the wood sculptures from Gerry Fenniman, they're amazing. He made me a chopping board a few years back and it's the favourite thing in my house.
