Law around Nitrous Oxide (Nos) in Ireland 2018

    Anyone know the law surrounding Nos in Ireland. Just back from holidays in Spain and around every corner there was someone selling nos balloons. I know in UK its pretty much legal but does anyone have any idea about it in ireland? Mainly around possession and distribution.

    100% legal to posses and sell

    They are used for legal purposes like cream canisters etc

    As in could a guard do anything about someone selling balloons outside a club?

    Have they a permit to sell said balloons on the street? If not then they can't trade there.

    You can get up to 7yrs in Jail up north for it, i'd say the Guards could have you under the psychoactive substance act for it if you were selling it, giving them away free you'd probably be ok. Nos and Helium are different, nos might fall under a psychoactive.
